Michael Moore has spent his life criticizing capitalism

I don't remember that happening. Maybe your memory is better than mine. What I recall is that he began his career criticizing capitalists in his hometown who had abandoned a lot of good men who had given their sweat and blood to a company that later hung them out to dry. In other words, he has criticized capitalists who are unkind.

And he is one, now, another capitalist, and according to the link at the start if this thread, it ... he is kind. At least in this one particular instance.

Never recall him evers asying anything bad about capitalism. I think you might be misinformed. Or, maybe I missed something. If so, fill me in.

Then let me inform you:

Quote:
One of Moores most strongly held convictions is that, as he declared on the CNN program Crossfire in 2002, Capitalism is a sin. This is an evil system.

If the "Capitalism is a Sin" quote isn't "bad" enough, then check out these websites with more quotes and actions from Moore: http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=899

This self-described "working man's hero" is a fraud.

There's a difference between corporate capitaliism and entrepreneurial capitalism. Corporations have no responsibility except to maximize profits for their shareholders. That's why we have laws to keep them from acting in ways that are far outside of the public interest.

Single individuals who strike the mother lode, however, are free to behave responsibly toward society, even compassionately. Or not.

And I think that's what the subject of this thread was all about, by the way : anything irresponsible or uncompassionate about Moore donating money to another individual to help pay for his wife's medical bills? Christ, especially, a guy who spends all his free time villifying him, not only for his political opinions, but a human being ...

Joo says it's PR, and he's probably right, but PR is exactly what that blogger was giving Mike free of charge - Senor Moore is in showbiz, and you know what they say, there's such thing as bad publicity. "Keep talking about me, guys," I'm sure he'd say. "The only thing worse that could happen is if people forget my name ..."

Cool
