It's the newer version of the chip and is supposed to overclock a bit better. And I got it for 247,000 won (same price as danawa and I didn't bother haggling at all.)

| So, I just played through all of Call of Duty 4 and really loved it. The only problem was...was it just me, or is the single player campaign really *beep*? |
It's *beep*. But I think if it was longer some parts would have to not be as exciting as others. It's *beep* but it's varied. It's not just a run and *beep*. |
What the hell is going on with Dave's? We can't say s h o o t and s h o r t?
Btw. The rig I described building in this thread has turned out to be an absolute champ. Overclocking the E6750 between 3.4 and 3.6 is easy and painless. I'm a little bottlenecked by the PC6400 Ram (800mhz) but have found the happy medium and have been rock-solid for weeks.
A couple of caveats..........The Gigabyte GA-P35-DSR3 does NOT support DDR3 as I thought it would. Well, not too unhappy. I'll probably get another motherboard before DDR3 becomes cheap enough to get 8GB's. My next system will have 8gigs.
The fans built in to the Gigabyte Triton case were sub-par. I've replaced them with a coolermax and an Enermax. Much quieter.
The Sapphire HD3870 has been the star in the system. Very stable, very overclockable and can get me an average of 35 FPS in Crysis at High Settings. I'll take that.
I can also give props to the Zalman ZM-600HP PSU. It's quiet and shows no signs of any evilness.
The Zalman 9700 heatsink-fan is a little noisy when it gets to around 2000rpm. But, seeing as how it only spins that fast when I'm running SETI@home, it's no problem for general use. At it's usual 1400rpm it's noiseless and very effective.
All this is running on highly stable Vista Ultimate x64 (acquired). No problems there either. |
