Why not? Beats collecting human ears or foreskin. However the former would be easier to store.

It seems that you enjoy reading. Right?

Let me recommend...

Now available in Korea at Kyobo bookstores.

Just because I read comics doesn't mean I don't know how to deal with the fairer sex. Why just last year at my local comicon, the Bimonscificon, a girl showed up.

the book sucked. It included the line "I was wearing a wig with dreds and a fake tongue stud.." If you're willing to wear a wig to pick up girls, you've already gone so far out there... second a fake tongue stud would come off if anything 'started'.

I used to collect, and I mean collect comics back in junior high.

At one point I was buying 18 titles per month and I now have over three thousand of them back home.

With that said, don't you loose something by buying comics online. I mean you loose the smell and the tough of a new comic.

I don't know, I could never do it.

I've just taken reading comics back up since I got my laptop.

And, yeah, hard copy comics are nice, but I have no patience for collecting. I mostly purchase collections/graphic novels when I can afford to buy.

As for the online stuff, ever heard of ZCultfm.com?

I just read the entire run of Fables. Now I'm jonesing for the next issue.

I'm gonna read Y the Last Man and Preacher next. They're done at least.

I used to collect the hell outta some comic books, from when I was 6 on up to 15 or so if I recall. I don't remember how many I had, but I think it was like 10 or so short boxes. With backers and such, maybe 1200 or so I dunno.

I sorta miss collectin em, but to be honest the newer comics just don't do it for me. I enjoy reading Ultimate stuff but that's bout it for the newer crap. To be sure I might pick up some TPB's of stuff from the 80's and such when I go home.

Or some West Coast Avengers issues, they should be dirt cheap since nobody but me liked em.

Haha, the West Coast Avengers are awesome! Especially when John Byrne took over for a while. I also collect TPBs and such, but can't resist the originals whenever I can get em. I have stuff going back to the mid thirties and up, mostly superhero altho I have lots of other stuff too. Can't resist the Jack Chick religious comics.

I can think of a few really good comics in the last five years...

Fables
Y the Last Man
Hellblazer

Comics have gotten alot better lately. I collected until '99 or so they were better then than they had been in a long time, and they've gotten even better since. I'm really impressed by what I've read lately.
