Ep 8 was all kinds of awesome. It's no big duh that Simon -- since the show's inception -- is going for the theme of perpetuity, but not even the series' final episode will underline the concept more than that cat-torturing kid.
I need to form a support group. The pain is way too much.
(Also: a lot of amateur critics are calling seaz 5 a Herculean disappointment. It's not. It's just that The Wire, like a girlfriend moving away to a different country, is going to leave soon, and resentment is setting in. Hard.
You start to nitpick everything that made the relationship great.
Because people and TV shows will never live in harmony as long as one outlives the other.) |

| Just saw episode 8 yesterday. Cannot believe what happened. Are we allowed spoilers on here? I thought I saw something in Chris's face at the end...maybe trouble at the top. |

| Last two episodes were excellent. Couldn't think of a better way to end the series. |

| Even if you averaged in the first four or five episodes of dreck in Season 5, this is still one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen. |
