the killer, anton chigurh (my icon photo) is really a great character and very scary.

I don't want to spoil the ending so I'll simply say that the ending is more realistic than most crime investigation pieces which have happy endings.

Nothing to spoil -- there was no ending.

I can't believe it won Best Picture.

I rewatched it yesterday. After being confused the first time. Excellent picture. He's very scary because he really thinks that he's purifying the nation of inferior people. The people who seem to keep true to their character and don't change seem to survive.

SPOILER ALERT

I find it very hard to believe that he'd get the drop so easily on Woody Harrelson's character AND get Woody to go to his room to be shot.

I think given the choices for best picture, No Country was the best one. From Rotten Tomatoes:

Quote:
a film whose long, twisted narrative roads, rather than converging on some obvious, hackneyed point of closure, instead open out to infinite horizons.

Still, I'd have to say Lebowski was my favorite of theirs. I also really liked The Man Who Wasn't There, with Billy Bob Thornton and a nubile Scarlett Johansson!

The Man Who Wasn't There.

There's another that's worthy of a mention. Almost liquid cinematography.

There's a scene or two missing in between those two links. At the end of the first link Llwellyn is sat on the bed in the motel with his shotgun and in the next scene at the start of link two he's commandeering a car in the street.

What happened in the motel?

anton chigurh uses the airgun to push out the lock. The lock hits the main character in the forehead. The main character (lou ellen) fires off a shot which hits the door. Lou ellen grabs the loot and jumps out the window (hang drop)
