I've had some interesting conversations with people who solicited me, even people with whom I strongly disagree. I think you have it the other way around; you don't want to have a conversation with them.  |
No, I had it right. Conversation I don't mind. Being preached at and having my point of view and beliefs ignored or told are not the "true word" is not conversation. In 12+ years, I've only had one approach me and be open enough to actually discuss a belief system other than their own. One. Everyone else was vehemently uninterested in what I had to say that didn't jive with their myopic theological view, so I gave up trying and now all of them get the stinkeye from me. |
