my problem is that the book could be boiled down to two facts teachers already know....kids learn differently....and intelligence tests suck...

But those facts are not educational guidelines, so they needed teasing out, expanding, and elucidating.

Teachers not understanding the theory and applying it badly is not actually a criticism of the theory is it now? That could be said of any theory. How much time do teachers in the feild really have to get to grips with hard psychology and then develope plans around it?

I think the book put some focus on the concept of learning styles, and that's a good thing. How teachers apply that is not really Gardner's problem.

I myself am not inclined to take up that approach in my language teaching. But that's probably more to do with the fact that I am heavily language based myself and that's how I learned, plus I'm teaching a language. Pictures and music are clearly good for language teaching, but I'm not going to be taking them out for a nature walk in the hope that it will improve their use of the continuous tense.

funk that, its because korean parents are insane. Education and good grades are all they care about.

I had to go through all that bunk. Why do you think so many koreans want to leave the country? Its to get away from their parents.
