japanese women may have bad teeth, but koreans apparently have tails. I'm heading for japan when this contracts over.

SO that's it? You've decveided to leave us and go to Japan? Is that final?

Korean life is easy. Lot's of jobs. Lot's of money. I couldn't imagine robbing a bank. It would be too much work.

Plus, do you really need gobs of women. How about one special woman.

Going to Japan, you'll be back to square one. Remember first coming to K? You had to spend an hour trying to figure out how to buy deoderant. And don't forget about all those sheety kiddy hoggwomns you worked at where you were paid in Dong-chims. DOn't tell me, you've fogoten those days...?

I am not going to get into this one. Maybe I will.

All I can say is is that if you are under 30, and can't get either a "working holliday visa" You don't even have to graduate from high school, nor into the Jet program. Something is wrong.

Criminal convictions? False documents (the Japanese do check.) Yeah I know pot is only a minor misdameaner in Western Canada. It does go to Interpol.

"Bad teeth?" The TV sucks I can understand that. Japanese girls have crooked teeth and the TV sucks.

Maybe you never managed to graduate from trade school in Bear Claw, Manitoba, but have found Bangkok a convenient place to pick up "a degree."

I don't really care. I had a dramatic moment today. Siezing some little kid's....I honestly don't know what it was. Some electronic device that mimiced raising a dinosaur egg. He put up a valient struggle! HE WAS A DETEREMINED FOE!

You'd be a fool not to go to Japan. A useful language, despite uneven teeth, nice girls in the way that counts to you, friendly people, good food. the weather is good, honest people. History, culture, just the sheer "oddness" of Japanese society!

Easier to do it here with a Canadian "visa" and a bogus degree.

You can just quit and go from place to place. I can see it.

So, does that mean I can go around calling black dudes "nigger" because I dont mean it in a racist way? Like if I'm rapping or quoting a Chris Rock joke?

Sorry for the swear-filter dodge, mods.... Just making a point.

I'm interested in relocating to japan. Some days the situation here, and koreans , seems so dreadfully predictable and hellish. I can tell the way these people think and what they're about to say before they even open their mouths. I know the way the women think, and the life of hell in a shoebox that awaits if I were to marry one. I wouldn't look forward to the never ending stress and competitiveness that marks life here, the adversarial and family obligated/dominated relationship that Korean women expect, or that utter drive to financial success at all costs. All taking place under the smoke haze, on this overcrowded peninsula, with its extreme climate (uncomfortably humid, never ending rain, arctic winter).

In short, japan has appeal. But I'm worried about several other factors involved in starting up there. No.1, the inability to save (too expensive). No.2, the whole starting from square one scenario.

I agree with the predictable, the hellish depends upon the situation for me.

All of Canada, except Vancouver, is laughing at you right now.

Agreed. For me it's the simple fact that I havent lived there for the last few years of my life like I have here.

Ah, but from all reports, the ability to save is just as good in Japan as it is in Korea...just as long as you dont go out doing all of the horing and drinking that you've grown accustomed to here in Korea every night.

You'd have to become responsible if you want to save money. Here, you can save money and still live like a university student. It's a delightful trap.

I admit, that would suck. Then again, think of the weight you'd lose because you dont know how to feed yourself.

And really, you're an experienced jet setter now. Heading to Japan will be no sweat off your balls.

I think that many people hold an over-idealized version of Japan in their heads.
Yes when you first get to Japan it's cute and 'oh hey, there's Hello Kitty' and all that shit.
Life in a shoebox? In a word,
YES.
Competitive society? Hahahahaha go to Japan, where they have like, a track that starts in PRE-K....to get into the best Uni so they won't be "ronin".
People are raised NOT to talk about their feelings and ideas, so as to "not rock the boat", so yes it's true that there's not much arguing BUT what if you want an intellectual conversation? You may find it but the person, more often than not, will be over 60.
Looks are everything even more so than in Korea. One of my favorite commercials was this little NEKU with the plastic surgery lady.
Oh yes, and get ready to hear that it "will be very difficult to sponsor your visa" along with "can you begin work today?" in the SAME conversation.
YEAH JAPAN
Yes some of it is cool but they have the highest suicide rate in Asia (including 3rd-world Asia). There is a reason for this, the school system is HELL for the students and many of these men don't have a clue what they will be putting their mixed-race children through, living in Japan.
Yes blacks have an easier time there, but someone who looks at least partially Asian will have an easier time in Korea...and that says a lot.

I have met some nice American female teachers.

But the last 3 Canadian female teachers I've worked with were complete flakes.

That they do, as opposed to their teeth, oh my God, I saw some horrific teeth in Japan, Not everyone of course, but when someone in Japan has bad teeth, they really really have BAD Teeth.
I swear some of my highschool students actually had teeth that were rotting

Come into the Middleschools and take a look. There are some pretty horrible ones where I am. But these students dont have the money to enter the hagwon system, making it harder for you to see them.
