Thanks Crockpot2001 for the Belgian beer advice. Maybe you can help me answer another question. What is the name of a Belgian beer that is brewed by monks, and comes in red and blue (not the color of the beer, but the label and the name)? Perhaps there are many beers that fit into that category. I don't know. I had this beer sometimes in Spain. I loved the blue one, but I forget what it's called. I think I've seen it in the states, too, at special shops. I won't be able to find it in Korea, but just want to remember. I think it starts with the letter G or C and sounds like a French word.

Yum. Bottle or can? If it's the bottle, where did you find it? |
Chimay.
Beer with a cork!! Classy. Blue is the strongest at 9% and the best. There is also commercially avalable Chimay Blanche |

Thanks! I love that beer. I will put it on my list of things to drink as soon as I get near anywhere that sells it. I'll be traveling through part of Europe in a few months (not Belgium). Will have to check back on this thread to see about some of the Lithuanian and Estonian brands, too. Mmm... |

I just went to Home Plus in Incheon Arts Center. These Euro beers that I saw there may have been brough up already but I'm to lazy to read every response.
Zipfer, Eidellweisse, Paulaner and Pauler Dunkel (I did not even see that in Munich!), Paulaner Hefe in the 5 liter barel (kick ass!), Heiny in the 5 Liter barel, and Erdinger dunkel and weiss. |
