I live near HongIk University, but I'm more of a 'Chicken Hof' guy than a club or bar guy. If anyone plans on winding up around here, please let me know, though. If I don't have to listen to hip-hop, I might be in.

Yeah, I am too (well, a woman, though...not a guy)...but I chose Big Rock because I know people go there to meet up and it's not too expensive. I actually have never been there before. I also hate clubs and dancing, so if people move to a club, I am going home.

I was almost going to suggest this place in Daechi-dong...it's called Siena Stylish Beverage Lab and they have really great food and drinks. I used to live around the corner from there in 2006, so it's my old stomping ground. It's a small place, but really unique environment. I didn't think people would have wanted to go all the way to Daechi, so I didn't suggest it.

The foriegners I've known who've gone there (not many but some polite guys) have both complained about rude behavior from the owner bordering on racism.

Ugh, Siena. I remember when it was simply called Beverage Lab. Spent a lot of nights there when we were too lazy to walk to the better hofs near Hanti station. One place gave you a mini-tap "keg" when you ordered the large pitcher.

Anyway, Siena's beer...Toxic...hangover town. I got a headache WHILE drinking there.

Really? I've been going there 3 years and never had a problem. Hm. One girl that was the manager for a while was super cool and really nice to me and my fiance whenever we came in. Maybe management has changed since I have been there last, which was maybe a month ago.

Yes.

Saturday, Aug 15. 8 pm. Gangnam Station exit 7. We'll gather like a parliament of owls and move to Big Rock Brewery.

If you are coming late, here are directions from Galbijim:

To get to big Rock Brewery, go out exit 7 of Gangnam Station. Turn right and go behind the Starbucks, then keep going straight up the hill without turning left or right; you should be able to see VIPS if you look back. The brewery will soon be on the left. If the hill becomes too steep and reaches the library you will have gone too far.

Hi to those that were there, I had a good time, nice to meet you all.

Those of you that didn't make it to Woodstock, you should've come, it was cool.

To those of you that had the good sense not to come to itaewon - well done you escaped hangovers of heavy magnitude!
