WTF! Why can't you just open your window and talk to him instead of wasting paper? And when did giggling around for three and a half minutes start counting as a video?

I read the recording engineers review about 'Stronger.' Tell yah what, if it weren't for those engineers (twelve of them at four different studios) his song would sound like [Mod Edit]. Actually, it still sounds like [Mod Edit]

Kanye West was a college drop-out, and is proud of the fact.

Kanye West could not become a teacher in Korea because he does not have a degree.

Kanye West once faulted his outbursts by saying "I have little baby tourette's"

Kanye West types in ALL CAPS on the internet (true).

I think Kanye West suffers from a mild case of retardation.

Sure. As long as the roles were completely reversed and white people were slaves for a few centuries and treated with unequal human rights... I think it'll be quite fair.

I still love when he said "President Bush hates black people" during a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser. That has to be the height of hilarious (yet really dumb) things he's said. Laughing

So you are saying that because the legacy of slavery, blacks in America can cry racism (even when there is none) in perpetuity. When will slavery stop being an excuse for the problems in the black community? Ever?
Actually if slavery had never happened in the US, Kanye would not have the wealth or fame he has today.

Here we go again.

Just to redirect the conversation a little: People are labeling what Kanye West, Serena Williams, and a US congressman Joe Wilson(aka Addison Wilson who shouted "you lie" at Obama during a speech the other day) as the culture of entitlement. Narcissists who have come to believe in their absolute right to say whatever they want to whoever they want if it goes against their beliefs and perceptions. I'd say this is the beginning of Internet creep. You spend enough time on the Internet calling a spade a spade (or at least what you think is a spade) and it soon rubs off on your public persona as well. The old neural pathways get used to a certain kind of response and they soon make it difficult to restrain that way of thinking in your public or social life as well. And this has just started. It's like any unconscious skill set. You just start doing it without thinking, bypassing your frontal lobe entirely. It's gonna get a lot worse.

This is a very interesting thesis and I would be inclined to go along with it. Have you ever spent time with kids who have completely grown up with the internet? I have 4 nephews and, while I love them to death, I really worry about how they are going to get along in the real world.

They are good kids but when I go home for a visit I am just appalled at how blunt they are about things, how simply incapable they are of arguing logically, without insult.

The internet in and of itself is obviously not the entire determining factor in terms of their personality but things are getting worse. Entire generations are growing up with the internet being their main and primary source of communication and socialization. I personally do NOT look forward to a workplace where everyone and anyone feels open to state whatever pops into their vapid little minds. While I am by no means an old codger, a certain amount of decorum is needed for things to run smoothly.

A lot of musicians have tourette's, hemispheric disparities, synesthesia, autisim, aspergers...Wouldn't be surprised if Kanye has such a congenital problem--or is it a problem?

That's the video West said was the best this year???? Confused

Very normal music video.....in fact....boring. Maybe Beyonce is supposed to be an amazing dancer or something....I don't get it. Not even sexy.

Why on earth is it an Over-19 video on Youtube???

He acted like a jerk and made a total fool of himself. Even he admits it was wrong. I'm no Taylor Swift fan but Katy Perry was right- it's like stepping on a kitten.

Man, the Jews were enslaved AND put on the brink of extinction through the Holocaust, but they still persevere without constantly stating "LOL THAT'S RACIST YOU HATED ON JEWS." In fact, Jewish people seem to excel in gaining monetarily, while NOT calling racism or harping on things that happened HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO. Let it go. Everyone has been enslaved at some point. Africans enslaved Africans and then sold their slaves to the white man for commodities. It should never have gotten this far, and black Americans should not be treated as a pity case. If things are so bad and racist here, they should move to Africa; oh wait, they won't because their lives are 100x better here. Get over it.

It should be pointed out that during the time of the mass-movement of Africans for the purpose of slavery in the new world, there were a minor but significant number of white slaves that were shipped across from Europe (particularly Irish and Scottish political dissidents) to work in the same conditions. Of course, the descendents of these people still make up the majority of the white underclass in the Caribbean so slavery has had an effect for hundreds of years on a small minority of whites.
