I find Lady Gaga attractive also. I also found Barbara Streisand attractive as a Jewish boy.

Babs as a young woman actually was fairly attractive, her schnazz nonwithstanding.

I will try to listen to a bunch of Gaga songs and see some Gaga pictures and I'll get back you, but my initial strong negative impression stands.

...for what this is worth...Lady Gaga songs that I listen to when I exercise.
I like It Rough
Just Dance
Poker Face
Bad Romance

...works for me.

ok... just listened to your list

Bad Romance - barely tolerable. , better than K-poop though.

Just Dance - this one is actually "ok", for a generic dance pop song that is

Poker Face - bad.. real bad this sounds like K-poop without the cutesy nonsense.

I like it Rough - by FAR my fave on the list. Not bad.. Not bad at all. Still a pop song, which isn't my thing, but I kinda like this song.

1 out of 4?

ughgh.. I figured I'd try some others.... bad idea..
I started by clicking on this one:

Lady Gaga - Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)

PURE K-Poop... American/Lady Gaga style.....

kill me NOW!

oh god.. this is bad

Lady Gaga - Beautiful, Dirty, Rich

wasn't Paparazzi a recent hit??

it's "meh" - typical top 40 pop crap, but nothing really catchy about it, but it doesn't make me hurl chunks like previous two.

flicked thru some pics on Google.

black cat was right.. she looks a MILLION times better with her dark natural hair...

with that nasty platinum thing, she looks like a hermaphrodite.

eg - http://images.google.co.kr/imglanding?q=lady%20gaga&imgurl=http://www.fabulousmag.co.uk/images/content_images/issue_058/gaga_5_058.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fabulousmag.co.uk/celebs/celeb_lady_gaga_058.php&usg=__dq5WGVbkrOQI1P2y1eO6KbFpcBk=&h=311&w=380&sz=17&hl=ko&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=c18P689FcUnDuM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=123&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlady%2Bgaga%26ndsp%3D18%26complete%3D1%26hl%3Dko%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN%26start%3D36%26um%3D1%26newwindow%3D1&ndsp=18&complete=1&lr=&sa=N&start=35&um=1&newwindow=1#tbnid=c18P689FcUnDuM&start=39

now I know what bothers me about her\ "music".

one of her main musical influences - David Bowie - I generally hated David Bowie though "Let's Dance" was ok.

from Wikipedia

Quote:
the structure of her music is said to be reminiscent of classic 1980s pop and 1990s Europop.[

DESPISE with a passion both 80's pop and any decade of "Euro-pop".

Note: I saw a pic of her a few years ago with her long brown hair. Grooooowwwwllll....

I saw her high school yearbook photo with her as a brunette.

Agreed. Some people have no business going blonde. She was quite gorgeous with natural contrasts Cool

I like her voice. Find her music interesting in a "this isn't the same song I've heard a million times before," and like most other pop music I moved on. There is a quality to her voice that appeals to me, and I enjoy hearing it, but the music itself isn't my schtick. (I'm a ninties metal/hard rock/alternative kind of guy, so this in no way is a demerit for her music.)

Should have stayed brunette though... Crying or Very sad

Anyway, I wasn't trying to give a serious argument Lady Gaga, if that's even possible. I was giving my opinion which seems to have rubbed you the wrong way. I closed with an observation that was meant in jest. If you choose to view that as some sort of perverted sexual attack then that's your choice, but let's be honest and say if we were discussing Hugh Jackman (definitely growl worthy) and I was a woman you wouldn't have insulted me. You're just like the posters on this site who call people racists if they criticize Korea in the least. So self-righteous, so ready to insult others, so 2D dimensional.

Making judgments while calling others judgmental? You are certainly a "special" one. I love the way you assume what I'd say...just...really, really awesome. I've definitely called out girls for cattiness so I don't know why the hell you'd assume that I wouldn't if you were a girl. Good logic there except...oh, wait, it wasn't. It was pathetic.

Ok, sorry, I'm being mean. You're really smart. And cool. And not self-righteous and ready insult others at all. Basically, you're perfect. Can we get married yet? Very Happy

Lady Gaga...like

She's doing what she needs to do to become a superstar in the USA. I don't begrudge her. She tries to convince us that she's that wacky in real life, that part I think is a half-truth. But she can sing, dance and play piano...produce an interesting video...put out an entertaining concert. Don't you stop to see a car crash? Same thing.

I like her videos and her songs. And she was awesome on SNL too (a couple months ago). She did a skit with Madonna, it was so funny. Her live performances were fantastic.

She doesn't compare to manufactured boy bands and mainstream Kpop AT ALL.

I don't have to assume what you think. In at least 2 different interviews Lady Gaga has said that the only quality she looks for in a man is a big rooster (using a euphonism here to avoid censorship). Yet you've defended her as a unique artist worthy of our attention. At the same time you've insulted and continue to insult me because I said that I thought she was more attractive with her natural hair colour and then added an animal sound. Your own actions and words incriminate you.

Further, I never said I wasn't judgemental. I just said you were. Having said that, I could care less if or why you like Lady Gaga. I only care that you like her enough to insult strangers on a message board when they disagree with you by trying to to wrap yourself in some sort of PC shell. You call me self-righteous when in fact it was you who attacked me with your perceived moral high ground. It's good to know you call people out on their opinions all the time. You must be the life of the party.

Anyway, I wish you all the best and hope you someday learn others are entitled to their opinions as much as you are. You'll find life is much more enjoyable that way.

The more you people talk about Lady Gaga, the more powerful she becomes. Quit asking "why" and shut up so she can go away already.
