Just curious to know the age group that dominates expat teachers in Korea.

I'm going to go with "western," as Korean age is about the least intuitive way to count your age possible. Only if we decided to count our age from when our parents first underwent puberty (makes about as much sense as saying that we had been conceived a year previous to our birth) would it be less intuitive.
I'm a solid 23. I'm staying for another month or less. Osan is not the paradise I've read about in books.

Decided to backpack through the Philippines, ended up volunteering to work with street kids for a year.
Ran out of money, went to Taiwan to teach for a year.
Returned to the Philippines, got married and stayed for a year.
Ran out of money, came to Korea with my wife 7 months ago.
Now Im 34.
Will probably stay for a year and a half more. |

Is there a prize for being the oldest foreign teacher in Korea ?
If so I want to put in a claim for it. I'm 61 --- 62 next month, but teaching keeps me young. I don't feel a day over 30.
I've been here for over 3 years but will leave when my contract finishes next year. |
