Sweet tap-dancing Moses. You must lead one helluva James Bond lifestyle to be able to say that. |

Well, look what happens when I wander away from the forum for 24 hours.
Quite a few good comments among the dross that Psy and Wylde are exchanging.
In my first two weeks here, I ended up in the middle of the impeachment demonstrations quite by accident. I hadn't a clue what was going on until someone I was wedged up against explained it to me. Now, I don't know where you all are from but where I come from, and quite often where I've been, you don't get stuff like that. I found it interesting.
With the wife, we wandered down to Dongdaemun (or, as I'm sure Wylde calls it - Ddongdaemun). Now, I don't know about you but back where I come from and in a lot of places I've been marketing takes on a noticeably more mundane tone than in the depths of the basement of the Dongdaemun Chain store.
Just two examples of how I've found this place interesting in the brief two months I've been here. You may not find them interesting and the aforementioned colleague didn't either. His loss I said. Personally, I don't know why he bothers coming here at all. I told him that you have to take and make your opportunities wherever you live. Labelling it boring is only an indication of your lack interaction with ANY foreign culture. |

| Sometimes it isn't boring. It can feel new or different at times. You can go to a new place or try a new food or meet a new character. But sometimes it is boring. It's the sameness of almost everywhere in the country I guess, though there is still a good bit of the country I haven't seen. Someone called Canada boring. But there is still a lot more variety. Just walk down many streets in Vancouver, Montreal or Toronto and see how many different restaurants you can find. Here in Korea, well, Itaewon and I don't know... |

| Funny that the Canadians, despite glorifying their country to death, are usually the first ones back to Korea. Wylde calls Koreans "trained monkeys" and no one censors this comment and I put out stats on certain people and they are censored...inept mods, please explain your double standards. |

for me its the weekdays, I work fairly long hours, and living in Mokdong(fucking boring) it can get pretty stale, and sometimes want to shoot myself but by the end of the week blow off some steam...........
get sort of refreshed then back to the grind....
Now that the weather is better, hopefully will be able to shake the cabin fever..... |

You're the one who's always telling people that if they don't like Koreans's hygiene, etc., they should go home.
Well, if you don't like Meskins, get the hell out of Los Angeles.
FYI, Vancouver is still known as "Hongcouver", for good reason. |

It ain't my problem, correct, but when I post that many Canadians who are in Korea are losers, I get labeled a troll while your stuff gets posted. Please admit the double standard (and I'm not sure if you're Canuck or not, but it doesn't matter).
During my nine years in Korea, I met quite a few Canadians who went back to the Great White North but turned up in Korea again, MUCH MORE so than the Americans, Kiwis or Aussies who returned to their countries. The classic Canuck line goes "Canada is the best country on earth, but I don't wanna live there." Like, OK.
Dogbert, I moved to an area with less Mexicans, FYI. Thank you for your concern. |
