Also, I don't really wantto go anywhere where men with guns is necessary.

Where guns are necessary, huh? Because police officers and guards, etc. don't have guns in the U.S. or Europe or Asia, etc.

Well, most places in the world.

Yeah, best to stay in your cave then. The world's too dangerous for you.

No, I get it. You're afraid of places with guns. Korea is a good match for you in that regard.

Just don't ever go home.

Not afraid. I am an ex-soldier.

Any place where armed guards are deemed 'necessary' is not somewhere I want to be. It has a history of violence.

A pistol on a police officer's belt doesn't bother me.

Where is there NOT a history of violence?

You're running a fabulous double standard here. Cops have assault rifles and shotguns, too. But only if they have them in developing countries, huh? Ah well, enough of this idiocy.

Logic fails again.

3. What would be impossibly dangerous about the country if not for the men with AK-47s??

The second time I went to Egypt the tourist police (white uniforms) were everywhere - thank goodness. Fundamentalists had been trying to destabilize the govt. by wrecking the important tourist industry. Nothing like walking past a tourist restaurant and throwing in a bomb to stop the Euros flowing in.

These white uni guys were also super helpful in sorting out smart alec taxi drivers. It was also good to see them checking every single passenger on the trains (for weapons). I was glad they were there.
