Isn't that what KJI said? "I miss Korea... but my aim is getting better" Wink

Importantly though, the reason I'm glad I'm not still in Korea has nothing to do with Korea itself, but rather how being there for a long time seems to affect people. I'm of the view that, on the whole, it has a noticeably detrimental effect on the mind, with the expat in question basically winding up a complete bore. Indeed, I'm convinced that it might even cause clinical depression.

I'm confused about how this "brain poison" that you get from just living in Korea could have nothing to do with Korea. Obviously I've been here too long.

Laughing That is my fear. All you have to do is know the code to the front door and live there all you want. I got a nice computer with a 27" monitor, closet full of clothes, two beds, big screen TV, etc. It's fully furnished and no one would be the wiser if someone were to live there for the past couple of years. I don't even have neighbors who would notice!

No offense, but just seems like you came in this thread to brag.

Korea forgets about you while you are here! You are not one of them, even if you go native, you will never be one. Less than 3 months to go to get the F out of here, I WILL NOT miss this hellhole country a bit. One thing I'm VERY glad of is that I'm not Korean and stuck here! Very Happy
