I fall asleep on the subway all the time. Now fair enough, its very unlikely i would get sexually molested. But the clothing I wear and race(prob an english teacher) indicates I probably have cash on me. By Zackback's logic I would be at fault if I got robbed.

Actually I just walked back from the shop and I saw a guy who was obviously wealthy walking down the side street near my house. He would have been totally at fault if I picked up a brick and stoved in the back of his head and robbed his twitching corpse. He was wearing provocative clothing on a side street with no-one on it.

I blame the Japanese, they even have a name for this, it's called chikan. As Japanese sex culture pervades Korean society more and more; from Korean schoolgirls selling themselves to middle-aged businessmen, to Korean women collecting money from sitting naked in front of their webcams; I can see this kind of thing happening more and more. The perpetrator was a shameless scumbag, especially in full view of the other passangers; whilst the victim must realize how life is now, not so innocent and safe in this so-called "safe" country.

She was wearing stockings. She wasn't bare legged. If he'd done the same and she'd been wearing jeans, would that still have been okay? He could have still groped and grabbed. How would you justify it then?

Why was the dude recording the video in the first place? There's no way he could anticipate what the old man was going to do. Maybe the cameraman was on the perv himself.
Up-skirt camera shots are such a common phenomenon here and in Japan that camera phones are legally required to make a sound when a photo is taken (at least that's what I was told by a co-worker). That's why you can't disable the shutter sound on your phone.
