I don't see a car parked in my apartment stairwell stinking up the stairwell to the elevator, I don't see cars all parked outside door ways to enter and exit buildings, having to walk into a smoke bombs and start choking to death.

I personally don't feel cars pollute my air like tobacco does. I don't sit right next to the exhaust pipe of a car.. who does!!! but standing anywhere near a smoker and you feel his smoke..
comparing cars to tobacco is stupid...

crazy talk....would you rather be in a room with a smoker or a running car? car fumes are way more lethal than cigarette smoke. How many cars in a metropolis like seoul? 6 million? every minute of every day u are breathing in the exhaust fumes of millions of cars. Doesnt matter where u are. It permeates the air of the whole city.

like I said, you don't park your nose next to a car exhaust pipe do you?
cars don't fire out smoke from the exhaust .. you stand next to a guy smoking a cigarette and then stand next to a car see what is worse.

Well considering no one has ever committed suicide by parking their car in the garage and leaving it running while they are inside whereas every year thousands of people end their lives by locking themselves in the garage with some stogies.....

This is why I don't like the non-smoking crowd. Pseudo-science and outright misinterpretation.

At the same time, I really think that smoking should be banned everywhere but bars and clubs that are open after 10. That or buildings designated "Smoking Only". Apartments? Ban it indoors. But places where you are not forced to enter and make it clear that "This place is for people to smoke" whether they are drinking or eating or bowling or dancing, they should be allowed to operate in such a fashion.

If you want a non-smoking restaurant or bar there is a simple solution- Open one up yourself. That's what real people do when confronted with problems. Entrepreneurial solutions, not laws.
