i enjoy this thread where myenglishisno is getting reamed out AND he's even been baited by a troll post. it's great, why? because he made a condescending and douchebag comment to ME in the learning to ride a motorcycle thread. karma is a be-osh.

Oh well, OP, we've all made silly errors at one time or other.

Just lick your wounds, drink a bit if soju, and maybe change your username.

This is getting ridiculous. The OP made a mistake and continued to make a fool of him/herself. Do we really need to keep piling it on?

You guys are all fools. Transfers are NEVER free. You ALWAYS have to pay to transfer. You MUST ALWAYS go through a turnstile. To get on the train - turnstile. To get off the train - turnstile. To transfer - turnstile. To take a dump - turnstile. You fools and your "free" transfers and dumps... Liars, the lot of you!

Wrong. You're doing it that way.

Maybe I went a little overboard, and probably owe you an apology. I just get tired of hearing whining by people whose only response to a confusing situation is to declare that Korea is illogical and backwards, despite the obvious backwardsness of going to live in a foreign country and not bothering to condescend to learn the language and customs. I think maybe I lumped you into that group so quickly because your username smacks of condescension and derision. OTOH, I realize it could just be silly humor.

BUT...if you're one of those whose first response to every inevitable inconvenience is to bitch and whine and blame Korea, I'm sticking by my first assessment, no matter how much Korean you learn. We're not likely to get to know each other well enough to say for sure, so I'm just going to suspend judgement altogether. Peace. Hope you get 사당역 figured out.

I said I wouldn't reply anymore so consider this the last one.

My username is meaningless. I think the day I chose it someone said that to me and I thought it was funny. Nothing more than that. It does get said often here and it is bit funny.

Anyway, I love Korea. I choose to live here for a reason and will continue to do so. I weigh my lifestyle in Korea against my lifestyle back home and Korea wins every time. I have lots of friends (Korean and otherwise), I love the food and tonnes of other things. When I complain on Dave's, it's just that really. It doesn't carry over into real life. I'm not walking around in a constant state of aggravation. If I have an issue, it ends up on here so I can get it off my chest.

This thread also wasn't even really meant to be taken seriously. I wrote it on my phone while on the train. I wasn't expecting to get railed nor was I expecting to get many replies. I know a number of people who've expressed the exact same issue about Sadang station which is why I was surprised at all the replies calling me a retard for not being able to figure it out.

I also did figure out Sadang station today out of sheer curiosity (I was in the area). My problem was that I had been getting on and off the train at the exact same spot all along and in that area there are only signs for one direction and it didn't occur to me that I would have to walk all the way to the other side of the platform to go the other way. I thought the platform ended way down where I couldn't see it anymore when in actuality it was on the other side that it went where I wanted to go. In most other transfers you can decide where you want to go after you leave the platform but in Sadang you have to decide on the platform.

It was stupid of me but I don't think it makes me subhuman. Oh well. That's that then.

Ah. Well, then. I do owe you an apology, after all. Sorry, dude. No harm intended. I read you wrong. Glad you got 사당 sorted out. Cool

How the (bleep) did you graduate from university if you were not able to figure out how to transfer from Line 4 to Line 2 at Sadang for a whole year?

PS: If you're intellectually challenged, that's cool, it's not your fault.
