Insane that a cup of coffee made from a few berries costs more than a meal with rice and side dishes.

Busan is awesome in that there are lots of independant small stores doing 1k americanos most times of the day as loss leaders.

It includes the cost of the comfortable surroundings in the coffee shop that people tend to relax and read and stay awhile in. In Thailand you can read 2 English Bangkok newspapers that would cost something like 2 dollars together. Also (at least in Thailand) American franchises tend to pay workers considerably more than local companies do.

Wow, it's already really expensive here.

What I always found interesting were the SBUX in Shanghai where a latte + a muffin = one day's pay. The place was totally empty every day, just me and my double espresso. On holiday a few locals would come in to treat the family.

Get off the drugs dude.

I'm not 100% on it but I think he meant stop taking mind-altering chemicals that make you actually believe in the fantasy world you've created. At least, that's what I took that statement to mean. I could be wrong though.

This article is about the stimulant drug. For other uses, see Caffeine (disambiguation).

Caffeine

Caffeine is a bitter, white crystalline xanthine alkaloid and a stimulant drug. Caffeine is found in varying quantities in the seeds, leaves, and fruit of some plants, where it acts as a natural pesticide that paralyzes and kills certain insects feeding on the plants, as well as enhancing the reward memory of pollinators. It is most commonly consumed by humans in infusions extracted from the seed of the coffee plant and the leaves of the tea bush, as well as from various foods and drinks containing products derived from the kola nut. Other sources include yerba matรฉ, guarana berries, guayusa, and the yaupon holly.

That doesn't make sense. Coffee isn't a "mind altering chemical that makes you believe in a fantasy world".

You guys may want to give it up...just an idea.

Finally I do agree with you. And what you say here is why caffeine, albeit a quite nice drug that one would never want to be without, there are many other drugs that are much better. And, also antidepressants are not "mind altering chemical that makes you believe in a fantasy world". Which is why an antidepressant, albeit a quite nice drug that one would never want to be without, there are even better drugs. Oriental medicine doctors in Korea have a lot of great stuff that is better than anything that is a non natural drug. And it is legal!!!!!!!!!! They put together the correct stems and leaves and berries and fungi, etc. and WOW!!!!!!! No prescription drug or illegal drug is better.

But, I would still recommend a patient with clinical depression Sad take the appropriate antidepressants Smile in addition to oriental medicine.

AND A SUPER HUGE POWERFUL MUG OF COFFEE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING Shocked . Then take your prescription meds Wink . Then in the evening an especially designed just for you (they do that here) oriental medicine "magic potion" Shocked that will make you very happy Laughing Laughing , then sleep like a baby Embarassed .

BUT IN ANY CASE Do not smoke and do not drink.
Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil
Nicotine and alcohol are evil.
