Luckily for me I have a DREAM JOB in Korea where I make more than a uni professor and I work less on top. My designer custom 3 piece suits, VIP clientele and office adored with accolades and achievements of my success speaks for itself.

I work for a huge company with branches in all corners of the globe. I've already been offered job transfers to exotic locations but have always refused them--mainly due to my smoking hot girlfriend.Wink

.... Suckers.

Unfortunately it is you who comes across as a sucker. Wages and salary? Are you kidding? No one with class ever discusses this with the hired help. Actually, any sort of "work" or "dream job" is not worth bragging about.
I guess I could admit that I "work" ...but all my wages are immediately transferred into my personal charity. How you middle class 'busy bees' ever survive is beyond my scope. Is it really possible to feel good when one has to rely on a "salary" for basic necessities?

As to your horking snot girlfriend... post some links to pictures or shut your ruddy cake hole.

Jealous? Actually I was giving you a gentle scolding for your crass comments about salary. Still, you middle class monstrosities certainly need something to give you self worth, so why not "wages"?

Perhaps your g/f is actually "hot", but if so, what in bloody heavens are you doing on this site on a friday night? Shouldn't you be out showing off your acquisition?

My Daddy taught me to never discuss money in public, but dear old daddy has been gone this past decade .... although his legend lives on. I wonder what cash payers like yourself will have for a legacy? A wrinkled old g/f might be all you have in the end. Invest your meager wages wisely young IPIC and don't ever make the mistake of assuming that I care about your income. If you have to think about money, you don't really have any to speak of.

In the mid nineties and prior, Japan, Taiwan, AND Korea all paid a ton of money.

World Traveler,

It was never Taiwan. Nor was it ever Korea.

It was Japan. Gaijin instructors were charging US $120 an hour per-lesson. Conversation school idiots were earning US $10,000 a month.

It was was a very bizarre period for all in Japan at that time.

Korea was a barbaric alternative back then, and, as some would argue, still is.

I'm just saying, Taiwan and Korea paid much, much, much more then than they do now (though I guess Japan at that time paid even more). Everywhere in ESL has seen a decline (and will continue to see a decline). No matter how many qualifications a person gets, they can't hope to make what a person with NO qualifications could get twenty years ago.
Supply and demand I guess. That's a consequence of the ESL market maturing.
