Ther are at least 3 women in my office that I have noticed do not shave now that the short sleeves have come out. They just don't seem to have enough hair to make it too obvious.

Just an update to my own post here. I havent shaved and there is no problems. It seem that a lot of the thing I read on the net are on a 'depends' basis. My office environment is relaxed in dress and the head teacher and Director are understanding. If there is a problem with my not shaving, they havent said anything about it.

I dig Korea so far!! with hairy legs and all Smile

Ok, chances are that they won't say anything. It will be some other comment like for instance: Are you cold. It's 30 (90) degrees out... however you wearing a shirt with cupped sleaves... ahh I need to start wearing shirts with longer sleeves.

Anyway glad to hear you're having fun.

I don't. Some Korean women don't. You are different and strange anyway. I think that relative to the whole being white thing, it's no big deal.

(Well...due to contact dermatis resulting from a Thai crystal deodorant which wouldn't go away and I couldn't get the cortisone cream to the rash...I did shave once this season. Embarassed )

I don't think Korea is the proper place to make social statements.

The obligation to make social statements doesn't go away just because one is in Korea.

How is that an easier life? Having to shave every day?

yes.. i think shaving would be a good idea.. it will definately save some harassment from the children... a friend of mine, just didnt shave her pits for a week and the kids all pointed and laughed and giggled in korean. save yourself the trouble. (conform) lol

Yikes...I guess I am radical and conservatice both...I just wouldn't be wearing anything to work where my students could see my underarm hair or lack thereof.

It's not just East European women who don't shave their armpits - it's continental women generally. Maybe it's just me (just me and the men on continental Europe) but I find a little bush in the armpits a bit of a turn on and I don't mind just a little unobtrusive leg hair on a woman.

You've all been brainwashed by your culture to hate women's armpit hair. It's natural. So there. Wink

For God's sake, shave. If you want to make a social statement, rally support for Unicef or go play lawn-darts with some retarded children. The only social statement you're making is that you're socially undesirable. Hairy chicks are gross.

dudes who aren't versatile are weiners.

i've dated both hairy and non-hairy girls and it has nothing to do with hygiene or some f-ed up beauty ideal.

dudes need to grow up.

"the only social statement you're making is that you're socially undesirable. hairy chicks are gross".

officially the most immature post in the history of this board.

and i'm usually the one saying the immature stuff. geez. next thing you know they'll be saying reagan was cool.
