And it's supposed to be the re-match of Kenza City and San Truis. How are San Fransco going to lose three straight? |

It must be nice to watch a ball game where the announcers are not also cheerleaders. |

Koreans commentators blatantly cheer for Yankees and Dodgers (or lose their job , I suppose). However, when they say 에라이 다져스 (LA Dodgers) it's sounds a lot like old Korean way of swearing (#$%& losers!). I'm sure they don't mean it.
As for San Fransco, now the commentator alternates with San Francico. |

So who wins now? The unlikely dynasty or the cinderella story?
Hard not to pull for KC. |

I like the Royals chances this time around. Giants are tough though. Who knows? I'm willing to bet 100 bucks on KC. Any takers? |

Hope reigns for small budget / small market / well-run / any team. |

Game 7 in Kansas City. I don't care who wins. Hoping for an exciting ballgame. Would be nice for KC though. Giants won it 2 and 4 years back. |

Congrats to SF aka Cockroaches. Well, next year there will be more new names for Americans cities with MLB teams. Two more before he signed off:
Colado Rokies
and
Under Pants; well SF's RF does play in a little boy's pants, doesn't he? |

I'm not a big baseball fan but I love baseball writing. Lots of great baseball writers. I also like going to see games live a lot.
I'd consider myself an educated sports fan, in that I like a wide range of sports but see the pros and cons of each one... and i can make nuanced arguments for why one is better/more attractive in one respect or another.
Most people just watch whatever sport was popular where they grew up and then bag on every other sport. Why is this POV so popular? I find it super frustrating.
I end up just having a person I talk to about each sport and only that sport. Makes it easier. |

"In Korean Baseball, Louder Cheers and More Squid"
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/03/world/asia/to-understand-korean-baseball-head-to-the-stands.html?ref=sports
"The Korean Series, which starts Tuesday, signals the end of another season in a country where baseball remains the most popular spectator sport. But understanding South Korea’s version of the national pastime requires a visit to the stands, where the festivities are both raucous and organized to a degree that American fans might find startling.
The infield stands are in a constant uproar, with the opposing fans engaging in “cheer battles.” The crowds chant and sing in unison, doing synchronized hand moves and banging out a rhythm with noise-making plastic tubes. Meanwhile, cheerleaders dance on raised platforms like choreographed K-pop groups, often with suggestive moves that older Koreans might frown upon." |
