Steelrails - if you spent half as much energy doing something more productive, as you do time on here you'll feel much more accomplished and happy with yourself.

I know you are superior to Zyzyfer and Mr black cat, as do they. They're just messing with you coz they feed off your superior intellect and wit.

It's like putting fuel on a fire.

Changing your avatar so often is psychologically significant.

The amount of time people believe I spend on here and the amount of time I actually spend here are nowhere near the same.

I spend much more time accomplishing important things like drinking myself into a stupor, dating emotional train wrecks, dealing my drama queen friends, and holding my head in my hands as I watch the Giants blow another game.

Oh yeah and actual stuff like reading, hobbies, concerts, sports, hanging out, etc.

SR, you keep bringing up nonsensical irrelevant analogies. Soviet USSR fought Nazi Germany in WWII. It's a historical fact.

A more accurate analogy would be to ask if Stalin was right to murder millions of innocent people in the name of progress. Answers can be nuanced, but anything other than "No, that is monsterous to even suggest that," is the wrong answer. If you say he was right to do it because he's Georgian and no Georgian ever did anything wrong, you're even more of a buffoon.

Now, if you start spamming multiple threads on a website numerous times every day with 1000 word essays on why Stalin was right to do what he did, not only are you wrong, but you might have a psychological issue as well. If you have a history of defending horrible dictators due to their nationality/ethnicity and make up lies about yourself to do so, it's just time for people to mock you. You are a joke.

So, yeah, that's a better analogy.

BlackCat, let's review some facts:

1. My parents were private pilots and I went flying with them virtually every weekend that weather permitted till I was 14. Sometimes I flew in the back seat. Sometimes I flew in the copilot seat. I never claimed to be a pilot.

2. I never claimed to be a maritime expert. In fact I mocked my own experiences by saying my boating knowledge was limited to rowboats and a few jaunts in the summer on my uncle's yacht. If you grew up in the Great Lakes states, that describes hundreds of thousands of people. That's like saying you're a racing expert because you've taken your dad's Buick out for a spin.

3. I grew up on a farm. Later in life, I lived in a crummy neighborhood. That also describes millions of Americans. People do move you know. You've lived in Canada, I believe. You've lived in Korea. But I don't think you're lying because you've said you've lived in Canada and Korea. That's exactly the same thing.

Why you think those things are such outrageous lies and point to a pattern of deception are beyond me.

Lastly, for the umpteenth time I said the Sewol captain was guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty in abandoning the ship before doing anything to aid the passengers. I argued that his abandoning appeared to be premeditated and thus deserve a harsher sentence. At the start of the thread I said that I sorta wished he could get the firing squad for his abandoning ship. Please explain to me how this constitutes "defending him".

Call me out for 1000 word essays and posting too much and being biased in favor of Koreans. But the other stuff you're saying doesn't have any basis in reality. The fact that you have such difficulty in comprehending what I've written, and in grasping the concept of questioning individual elements of the incident without judging someone as a whole, suggests that you have some issues you need to work through as well.

So, in other words, you weren't a pilot, but he let you hold his stick. Very Happy

Steelrails would let the Sewol captain take him up the shitter if it meant he could write a 1000 word post about his expert opinion on the matter.
