the formula is the same the world over.
move your ass (as much as possible), drop the donut (or whatever other crappy food you may be eating)
I'm going to lose 20 lbs in the next 3 months, you can take that to the bank.
it's easier for guys for two reasons
1) the logical reason is that guys lift weights and combine that with diet, the increased muscle mass increases the rate of one's metabolism.
you should try to incorporate weight lifting, though it'll be much harder and slower for women to build said muscle.
2) the illogical reason that women eat shit as "comfort food"... for whatever stupid reason. One of the reasons men will never understand women.
(after lots of this kind of "comfort food" eating, a girl will have the gall to ask you if her ass looks fat in a pair of jeans or a dress and expect you to say... no honey,. you look great... |

IN regards to the statement "the last thread was oriented towards men", there isn't really a difference. We lose weight the same way.....and yes women should be hitting the weights too...you lose muscle when losing weight and it's bad for women too...you'll be skinny, but not toned at all and still flabby.

Err....unless you have a decent amount of muscle(most guys don't), your not gonna be losing tons of calories due to your muscles. If your trying to lose weight, your muscle gains during that period will be small if none at all. It's good to do weights when dieting to minimize muscle loss and speed up metabolism, but don't expect to be losing tons of calories becuase you lift weights every day.....integrate some cardio if your trying to lose weight.
As for comfort food, guys have it too, they just don't call it that. If you ever decided to knock back a few beers becuase it's been a crappy day....same concept for the most part. |

more muscle mass means your basic metabolic rate goes higher as body has to burn more calories with more muscle..
woman can't get same muscle.. hence lack that male advantage..
it's a little harder for them, but it can be done.
whether some women stick to a plan and have the willpower to carry it thru is another matter. Some do... others don't and then go back to thinking men are just "pigs" whereas the pork slabs really lie in one's appearance in the mirror.

Why the negative attitude towards women?
Most fat guys I know rarely hit the gym so the whole Muscle factor isn't there.....second you need a lot of muscle to lose significantly more weight just by having the muscles in the first place...it's not like you burn an extra 250 calories a day for every 50 pounds you can bench...diet books will exaggerate how much having a pound or two of muscle will help you lose weight....like they do with everything.
If your "buff", then you can eat more calories than a twig(not much however)...if you only work out occasionally, the calorie benefits are are too meager to take notice. |

| There are OA(overeaters anonymous) podcasts on itunes for free. If you have emotional issues that envolve eating as a remedy, these can be an eye opener. Check it out. You are not alone, weak, flawed, or beyond help. No matter if it is 10 lbs or 100 lbs you have to lose, emotional eating is about HOW you eat, not how much you eat. |

no negative attitude towards women at all. I only have a negative attitude toward the fat ones that are in denial (I'm healthy, I'm big boned. etc etc ) That said it's their choice, if they like themselves fat that's up to them, but please don't fucking then complain about how men are "shallow", and therefore unable to get over the fact your apperance is the "anti-Viagra".
The physiological fact is simple biology, if I state men are stronger than woman, that's not a negative attitude, that's fact.
Men will inherently have a higher basic internal metabolism because men's bodies have more muscle mass than women's (even the fat men).
The fat guys that don't hit the weights merely means it will take them longer to lose it.
having been buff a while back I can easily refute your last point.. once you're there, you can easily allow yourself some slipups, even a once a week eat whatever you want day.. the key is limiting those and staying on course. |

Hey I may be a fool and a tool (very poetic that), BUT
at least I've had the self discipline to eat well and exercise. Never been overweight in my life, and although I don't have a lot of dignity (I am in Korea after all), I've never engaged in sexercise with a fatty.
Anyway all this advise business is all bollocks, the human body is naturally lean. Do you see fat people in the Amazon or the New Guines Highlands, NO! It's really a very simple formula that doesn't require any effort.
1. Be active, it's a natural state for people, look at kids,-running around all the time.
2. Be like a tribesman , prepare your OWN food, (can't hunt it) buying eat, cooking it, cleaning up after burns calories. Ordering at Mickey D's burns zero.
So go ahead call me a tool fool, oh no musn't offend the overweight person who is overweight due to laziness, lack of discipline, and downright stupidity.
You may not like hearing this but the key to weight loss is not pills, but becoming more disciplined and smarter.
What's there to respect about an undisciplined, glutonous person.
Guess what? People don't respect fat people, the only difference is I say so.
Why are you people wanting to lose weight because you know being overweight is undersirable.
Just like dope heads, and pedos give whiteys a bad rap, in Korea so do fat people.
Your lettin the team down, sounds mean but you should do your weight losing BEFORE coming to Korea. |
