CustomX, you're right that your question was purely about looks, but you're wrong if you think that being 1/2 Chinese is unrelated to looks. Hagwons don't use asians in their marketing photos unless it's supposed to be a picture of a student.


That's a very good point. If you want to use your looks to get a job or get more money, being Asian will cancel that out. It is true that schools like good-looking teachers (whether that will get you more money is questionable, however), but the reason is that they are looking for "exotic" whities. There are already a lot of good-looking Asian guys in Korea (not that I'm noticing), so being one isn't going to help you in the EFL world. In fact, as others have mentioned, it will unfortunately probably count against you.
