I'm presently about 97 kilos with my goal being 100 (by lifting weights not packing on chubb)[/quote]

Good work....i'm currently over the 110 kg mark....shocking stuff really...i can attribute that all to my debaucherous first contract...still 6 months into my second contract and laying off pizza's and chicken i'll be back down to a pretty cut 100 kg's by the end of this contract...just in time for me to spend 3 weeks in thailand and turn to mush again...binge purge binge purge...thats the ticket Wink

I fled a depressing and static lifestyle in Canada that had me weighing more than I should have, and immediately started shedding in Korea. I am a vegetarian, so it's hard to find much to eat in my little village, and as long as I stay away from the pre-packaged snacks... I starve. Wink Despite my sweet tooth, I underwent quite a transformation. After a month, I joined a gym just down the street, and since I don't have any English-speaking pals available during the week, I starting going 3 or 4 nights a week.

My co-teachers could not stop gabbing about it. They all became talking scales, saying "Oh, teacher, when you come Korea, you THIIIIIIIIIIS big (holding hands apart to indicate beluga-sized person) and now you so small!" The principal asked the school nurse to keep an eye on me, despite my attempts to reassure.

I've just been to India, the land of gobi manchurian, aloo palak, and more mouth-watering (and often greasy) treats than I could sample in a lifetime. I took some spices home with me, and I've got a new Korean vegetarian cookbook, but I suspect that I will probably continue to shrink, or just maintain my newfound trimness.

Thanks, Korea! India, I love you, but it would never work out long-term.
