Two days before departure, I had to cancel my trip to Vladivostok, returning through Lake Baikal, but the alternative is pretty cool:
Going to Los Angeles where my amateur American Football team and another will merge into Team Russia and play in the Int'l tourney at the LA Coliseum. It's a promotion by vitamin company Herbalife who has a new sports drink out on the market. Our first game is against Fiji.
Should be pretty cool. And all the travel is free!
I lived in LA for 9 years, I'm pretty happy to be going "home." The Russians are out of their minds ecstatic.
The Accuweather 15 day forecast: 75 and "abundant" sunshine for every day we're there. |

Going home to visit to the 'rents. Dad in Indianapolis; mom in central WI. At some point, I'm going to Noah's Ark!!! Yee-haw!

Who's going to Afghanistan and Pakistan? What would behoove you to do that? Well, I think he's already there, since this thread is a bit old. I keep thinking of that Japanese backpacker who went to Iraq on some kind of danger tour and was consequently kidnapped and beheaded. |
