I've started watching Weeds and Dead Like Me, both from Showtime. Also Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm from HBO. I know, I'm way late on CYE.

Doctor Who has been kind of boring me lately. Not sure why.

Bottom is an awesome show, way better than the Young Ones.

I'll second My Family. They play it on BBC and it is pretty hilarious.

The Shield is, imo, the best television show ever made. It actually feels more like a movie than tv. The writing is excellent and every episode is so intense. Season 6 just ended and season 7 will be the last. You need to watch it from the begining to fully appreciate it.

Just started watching the 3rd and final series of Arrested Development. I've only seen the first 4 episodes, but it's been a bit disappointing so far - the British/Iraq storyline just isn't funny. Not nearly as snappy as the first two series, but maybe it gets better.

The Sopranos
is probably the only other multi-series show that I've made a point of watching, both sequentially and in its entirety. Without a doubt the finest example of great American television.

Midway through (about series 4 I think) the most excellent West Wing, although I haven't watched it for a couple of weeks despite having all seven series on DVD. As a European, a large percentage of the political subplots and, to an extent, the political dialogue is somewhat lost on me, but it still makes for first class viewing.

Watched about 2 episodes of Lost before I got lost (and bored).
Watched about 6 episodes of 24 before I realised that it contains the single most implausible storyline in TV history ever. In fact, ditto the implausibility factor to Lost, that was pretty silly too.

Wouldn't mind watching all of NYPD Blue at some point. Band Of Brothers was good as well, although I never got around to seeing the last 2 episodes for some reason.
