But when you post lame threads about how a friend is now convincing white girls to date asian men... it just smacks of insecurity.

ok two things:
1) i said a korean female friend told me about a white female friend who first dated a korean guy, and now the white female friend is asking the korean friend to hook her up with any asian guy after her experience with a korean guy. the korean friend did not have to convince her, the korean friend in fact was kind of curious as to what the white friend liked about korean guys. the white friend said she likes korean guys because they are "challenging". weird but anyways... off topic.

2) i posted that in asiafinest, mostly to say how chinese trolls should be grateful for the positive and masculine image korean guys put out there.

so its unrelated for the most part to this thread. i know its similiar subjects, but really the reason i posted that in asiafinest is because of the chinese trolls who always complain and get jealous of korean guys, and how they should be more grateful to korean guys for improving the image of feminine asian guys that chinese guys have made so well known. well there u have it. what i just said would make no sense to anyone in dave's esl but you.

Wow, man, you are a piece of work. Seriously delusional. I'm not even sure how to respond. In fact, it's best not to respond to you. You're living in your own little world of jealousy and insecurity.

Tell me, what is this masculinity that Korean guys are teaching Chinese guys predicated upon? Masculinity is, after all, gendered and therefore more culturally constructed than a natural given of males around the world.

Could it be that this masculinity is a white masculinity? Well, it would have to be since it's a foreign masculinity which perceives the Asian femininity that Chinese guys "have made so well known." So, if you are trying to get Asians out of a feminine stereotype then it would only be towards that very masculinity (white) which held you to be feminine in the first place (I'm assuming it must be white since I don't think you would be lining up to emulate anything other than white).

I can't beleive you came on here and basically admitted that you are proud of Korean men for how far they have come in accomplishing a white masculinity for themselves.

Are you on crack? Korean guys are often, not always, feminine to the Richard Simmons degree. I haven't been to China, but I've seen some of the gayest straight guys in the world right here in Korea.

Even more recently (2007), Minka, a South Korean born pornographer, was inducted into the Erotic Hall of Fame. She's had, *ahem*, many relationships with foreign men. How come no one ever talks about her? Just curious.
cause she's a porn star...>_>

On this forum and on AsiasFinest you have consistantly posted about Korean men and White women. You've neglected a massive portion of "mixed-relationships" because it has suited your agenda... as stated in the "beauties" thread - you want to stereotypes of Korean men (actually, I've never been clear on what exactly you want to change).
The funny thing is, by your posing your obvious insecurities, you are now creatingyour own stereotypes - now everyone around believes that sad little boys like you have an inferiority complex. Wink
So again, I'll ask to you prove your assertion, that all the people not liking this thread are white men.
I agree with the Cap.
You sound like you're just some insecure Americanized 2nd/3rd gen Korean who's obsessed with dating white women. What kind of Korean are you? Supporting mixed marraiges

Insecurities might have something to do with Asian masculinity in Western culture. I can see why an Asian male would have problems with low self esteem in a 'western' nation, I have been here for a few months and I have seen many tall, good looking Korean males who would find a nice girl in England, but it is their mindset that would be the big deciding factor if they were succesful of not.

However in South America, and in my mothers homeland of Peru, the Chinese and Japanese settlers always married the local women and the 'Chinese' and 'Japanese' communities in Peru (and Brazil) today are more of a hybrid mix of Chinese or Japanese with Spanish/native American and other mixtures such as African.

My own mothers family has a Japanese ancestor - male - according to some historians, 15 % of the Peruvian population has Asian blood.

As for Koreans in South America marrying outside their own race, here are some interesting articles.

THere are some Korean men here who wouldn't have trouble back home. I don't think it's really the physical part that keeps Western women weary of Korean men. Obviously, all of this is generalization, as there are women here happily married to a Korean guy (though I have found half the cases I know don't have any contact with the Korean family...)

i don't think i specifically said i support mixed marriages.

i don't think i specifically said i was against them either.

there's two camps in asiafinest. one likes korean guys with white girls because somehow white is connected with status (much like white english teacher is connected with "good" enlgish lessons) and the other thinks korean guys should date women of all nationalities, not just white. korean chat has mostly died in asiafinest tho, because people come to that chat looking for other koreans, but find non koreans posing as korean. its sort of like, imagine if dave's esl was full of spanish teachers in finland posing to be english teachers in korea. eventually it would just not serve the purpose people came there looking for.

i don't think i am wedded to one view on this subject regaring preferred marriage partner though.
