ANSWER MY QUESTION!
ROBERT ALTGENS TOOK THE PHOTOGRAPH. HE WAS THERE. YOU WEREN'T.
HE KNOWS BETTER THAN YOU OR ANYONE ELSE WAS WHAT THIS PHOTOGRAPH SAYS AND MEANS.
HE SAYS IT DOES NOTHING TO ALTER THE FACT THAT KENNEDY WAS KILLED BY OSWALD. THOSE ARE HIS WORDS, NOT MINE.
THAT IS WHAT THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE AT THE TIME SAID WHAT HAPPENED.
WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER? |
ROFL
This will have to go down as the dumbest thing anyone has said.
"The photographer said so, therefore it must be so"
Unbelievable.
Well , not really. It is from MOS
The photograph shows that the Secret Service Agents are aware of a shot--the first shot--and Kennedy has been hit.
It will be SIX seconds before the fatal shot is fired that hits Kennedy in the temple.
But the Secret Service Agents WILL NOT MOVE to protect the president.
These are facts, period.
Lot's of people support the offical theory. So what-a photographer does too.
MOS demonstrates once again that he can not think for himself and thinks other people should be like him. He only goes to the John McAdams website for his spin.
This picture by the way is from the McAdams website and McAdams
states: "Altgens photo of motorcade on Elm Street; John Kennedy has already been hit."

ANSWER MY QUESTION: WHY DIDNT THE SECRET SERVICE
MOVE WHEN THE SHOTS RANG OUT? |
Given that the last Presidential assassination was more than 60 years prior, I somehow doubt that any of the Secret Service agents on hand had any actual experience with assassination attempts. A slow reaction time is hardly proof of a conspiracy. In fact, conspirators usually have an over exaggerated reaction time. They know what's coming and want to prove their loyalty. See references to firefighter-arsonists for example. |
Exactly. They had "over six seconds to react but they didn't". C'mon.
Count six seconds off on your fingertips. How fast does that go by? Have a close look at the photograph. Literally dozens of people, Secret Service and otherwise, are also obviously not moving.
On the right side of the Altgens photograph, you can see a pair of hands clapping. Now unless they are applauding the shooting of the President, it is obvious those hands belong to someone who is clapping as the motorcade goes by and also doesn't realize what is going on. On the left side of the photograph, you can see people lining the streets who are smiling. Two motorcycle cops to the right of the President's car are glancing towards the car, but they are not shouting, pointing, nor do they show any other indication that they think something is wrong.
Let's apply Occam's Razor and answer regicide's question, "Why didn't the Secret Service agents move when the shots rang out?"
There are two possible answers. Which of the following makes the most sense?
A: They are in on the assassination and want to make sure the President is unprotected.
B: They haven't yet realized that Kennedy has been shot, and that an assassination is taking place. |

Well, who is more believable: Ike Altgens, or you?
He was there. You weren't.
He probably relived that day over and over again in his head for the rest of his life, and probably re-examined the events of that day over and over again.
He probably knew many of the White House staff and Secret Service agents personally, and would know whether there was even a hint of a suspicion that more than one person participated in the assassination.
He probably had access - first hand acess - to every major person who was a witness, or was involved in the forensic work and the investigation into Kennedy's death.
If he wanted to, he could probably have made a million in the conspiracy theory cottage industry, playing up all kinds of 'second gunman' or other conspiracies, but he had the personal integrity and sense of moral responsibility not to do so.

It shows no such thing. It's a photograph, not a video recording. There is no sound, and no movement. Unless you can point to a dialog cloud where one of the agents is saying, "Hey! Kennedy's been shot - did you see that?" Then there is no basis for your statement.

Your statement is ridiculous, because it assumes A) we know for 100% certainty that the SS agents know an assassination is in progress, and looking at the photograph there is no basis for assuming that, and B) it assumes that the SS agents know a second, fatal, shot will take place within a few seconds.

Sure, for obvious reasons. He knows what really happened that day, he was there. You weren't - and you obviously don't know what really happened.

You're lying again.
This is the link to the photograph that you first posted. You're the one who is so obsessed with this photograph, and you're the one who first posted it.
It's from your original link here. I don't know Mike McAdams:
And here is the URL:

It's A.
THE NON-PERFORMANCE OF AGENT ROBERTS -- The activities of Emory P. Roberts during as well as before the shooting are difficult to understand. As the first shots were fired, he recalled agent John D. Ready, who was attempting to run to the president's car. The initial explanation for this order -- the speed of and distance between the cars was too great for effective protective measures to be taken -- has been contradicted by photographic and eyewitness testimony.
And Kinney, the driver of the follow-up car who was seated beside Roberts, said that his shift leader, upon hearing what he later admitted he immediately knew to be a rifle shot, ordered his agents not to move.

HISTORY" CORRECTED 35 YEARS LATER BY PRIMARY SOURCES
by Vincent M. Palamara
(EDITOR'S NOTE: The following news story, by historian and researcher Vincent M. Palamara, sets the record straight regarding the long-repeated falsehood that President John F. Kennedy was somehow responsible for his own assassination because he ordered Secret Service agents off his open car and otherwise fatally undermined the performance of his bodyguards. Palamara, widely recognized as the preeminent expert on Secret Service personnel and procedures during the Kennedy era, has secured the first on-the-record comments from agents in the presidential detail of November 22, 1963 and other primary sources.)

There is nothing in this photograph that provides a basis for this.
And in any case, this statement above is only evidence that the SS agent in question misjudged the speed and distance between the two cars. It doesn't prove anything other than that he made an error in judgement.
And if the more likely interpretation is that he made an error in judgement, the logical conclusion is that he wasn't attempting to assassinate the President. |
