These kind of crimes are inevitable when you have a free society that doesn't lock men up for their abusive thoughts or desires until they're acted upon. I wonder if this guy had been sexually abused in his childhood? Probably. Not an excuse, but a reason. These kind of crimes are self-replicating.

The focus should be on prevention and protection. No one who would do this kind of crime is focused on the punitive action that the state will visit upon him should his actions be detected. His existence is a failure, in every sense of the word, and a dangerous one. Ideally he should be eliminated or removed from society as soon as possible.

Revenge is a powerful feeling, but in this case it accomplishes nothing. More money needs to spent on social services in the US to detect guys like this and (also the guys that fuckt with him when he was a kid) and throw them in the clink or some kind of mental health facility. It would be nice to put a bullet in this guy's skull, but that's not going to happen. So what's the alternative?

This is a response to the people who are advocating rehabilitation for cases like this.
Now first off all, just in the interests of fairness, I am pro-capital punishment in extreme cases. I think this case certainly qualifies for the death penalty.
Now just to pose a simple question here, there are many people on this thread who are saying if this "man" committed this crime, he should be locked up and rehabilitated. Just looking at Miriam-Webster, the definition of rehabilitation is;
"a: to restore to a former capacity : reinstate b: to restore to good repute : reestablish the good name of"
Can ANYONE be rehabilitated after doing something like this?
I say *beep* that. Anyone who is convicted of doing something this heinous, disgusting and depraved has qualified themselves for execution.

That's just sick. I have daughters a litle older than that (7 months) and if anyone did that to one of my girls...I'd end them. Don't care if I go to jail. I don't care what bleeding hearts and their "what good will that do" think. I'd hurt him and hurt him good.

Actually I take that back. I'd hurt him and then let them stick him in jail. He'll be raped everyday there.

Why were public executions so popular, why is watching violence a more popular form of entertainment than book reading?

Because it's meaty, juicy and there's nothing like sinking your teeth into a fresh carcass.

I am not advocating public executions-it satisfies the mob's bloodlust, and society as a whole suffers for it-and as has been posted, it costs more money to execute convicts than to incarcerate/rehabilitate them.

In the interests of both society and saving money, put said offender, if convicted, into general population-it's just common sense.

No, he'll go to Thailand and use his money to form an elite team of 'rescue agents'.

Basically, it's like an insurance scheme for pedophiles. If you're a paedophile you pay insurance, if you go to jail then people are waiting for you when you're released and they fly you to Thailand.

Don't you read the papers?
