Gee, thanks for the spelling lesson Spliff.
Now, my life is complete!

"Naga" means get the F out of here. No need for the "yo" at the end if you aren't trying to be polite.

Yes, "na" means me, but "naga" is telling someone else to go away.
Another one is "churee ga".

I seem to be getting a lot more cases this kind of Korean apologist (being apologist for Korea, or being an apologist from Korea) like the Op met.

When you hear a story like this, as long as you weren't there to witness it, then you can just claim 'No, it didn't happen' and add the old classic 'Koreans don't do things like that'. If you witnessed it, it is still okay to make assumptions that the victim did something to bring it on. Just look at the David Kim case recently.

If this sort of thing happened to a Korean in Vancouver, I'd say 'sorry to hear that' and advise him to stay away from East Hastings at night, or something like that. With me, denial is just a river in Egypt.

No blood money.

That man is no one's elder. He doesn't fit into the confuscianist frame. He's homeless. He's nothing.

Even though you're right, the whole damn system is wrong.

Kick him in the knee-he won't go psycho on you if he cannot stand up.

But you'd better get away quickly. Despite being a beggar and barely human, you'll still be liable for blood money.
