I don't know, Bucheonleon.
There is a simple mathematical test called a chi-square, which measures positive and negative correlations.
It doesn't explain reasons for any positive or negative correlations, though.
Since there is a provision for taking polls on this message board, we can find out if there is such a negative correlation.
Now if you will please excuse me . . . |

I love kids. Piggy back rides all the time between classes. Or spinning them around (safely ofcourse). Playing tag, whatnot, I love them and their energy. I don't understand how others don't (but I also know I am a small minority in the male category). |
Totally! Why feel stupid by having a blast with a group of kids? They love our class, as do I. Honestly, they help keep me young and in some ways, keep me on my toes as a teacher. Kids learn really quickly when taught effectively, so it makes me feel even more responsible for their first encounter with learning English.
It should be said that while they are kids and have huge amounts of energy they can't always control, they are respectful. If they weren't, I can see how the class may become a real burden. They listen well, have real respect and know the boundary between a fun class and a nutbar class, and try to stay on the right side of that line.
Good kids, fun class, no regrets. |
