I just hate oprah because she has more money than me. Yes, I hate a lot of people.

Yeah, I guess I speak from my experience.

Quote:
And what's this about guys not sharing their feelings or gossiping? Maybe not with you, but I am forever hearing about the hopes and dreams and love lives and traumatic childhood experiences etc. from my guy friends. Come to think of it, most of them profess to hate talking about their feelings and gossiping, too. Yet they all pretty much do. I suspect they don't do this with other guys as a sort of status thing- can't be seen engaging in those unmanly behaviors.

Some guys are more 'feely' than others. Some guys are very fembot (homosexual) and just act deifferently.

Do you guys like the view ? What about that Survivor-girl that loves to stir up controversy? To me, they are the same (or worse) than O.

I've probably watched about 20 minutes of oprah in my life. After watching her all those years ago, I decided that watching oprah was a waste of time that could be better spent doing something else. Most of the posters in this thread confirmed what I thought about her show the only time I ever watched it.

Dude, I don't like the view! And these guys who share there thoughts and feelings with me are usually pretty "masculine" guys who watch waaaay too much spike tv for their own good. Most of my guy friends are martial artists. Things changed a bit since I've been to Korea but share a coffee with a guy and you are bound to hear about their relationship with their parents or their ex girlfriend or something.

What is survivor girl? Do you mean the story of O, that classic bdsm novel? Whaqt does that have to do with anything?

OK dude. Enhance your calm.

I'm not knocking your sexual orientation. It doesn't matter to me that you are a lesbian.

Survivor-girl is the girl on the View that was in the t.v. show: Survivor.

Watching t.v. by itself seems a little less masculine to me - and Spike tv is more of a 10 year olds fantasy than anything mature adult Rolling Eyes I can't watch garbage like: Manswers and other stuff. Rolling Eyes

Anywayz its OK to talk about feelings, but all the time? To make a show about that? To get into peoples business? Oprah makes money being the conductor for peoples emotions. Guys usually just can't be bothered. Usually.

Oprah Winfrey is a fat over opinionated cow who knows nothing yet has an opinion about everything. I would say this to her face if I saw her.

BTW the plural of tooth is TEETH (teeths isn't a word) and I don't think anyone here has any opinion of her for her race. I think Jerry Springer has one of the worst shows on TV too. Am I racist against white people too?

Anyway if you are really calling me out come get me. I think you'll find that you're a moron (unless you're black then you can't be anything negative cause that's racism... wait... no... you're a moron.)

Racism is to say I hate ALL people of a different race and YOU'RE the first person to mention anyone's ethnicity. I hope all your kids ddong chim you every day.

Who's making fun of opera? I like opera. Mozart wrote some goodies. Not like those older, overlong Italian ones, though some of those are good too.

I have always felt that Oprah made her success simply by appealing to the masses. I believe the secret to her success is that people can identify with her; she has a weight problem, she was sexually molested, and she seems like just an average person. Maybe that's also why someone as obviously unqualified as Bush could become president; people said he was someone they would like to have a beer with. Oprah doesn't intimidate people or make them feel inferior. Personally I find her show boring because she doesn't ask interesting or probing questions. Its more like chit chat. One example is when Magic Johnson was on her show, along with his wife. I liked Magic and sports in general, so I watched the show thinking it would be good. This was about a year after he revealed he had aids, so I was thinking it would be an interesting show. Well, Oprah never asked a single question that I wanted to hear and I didn't learn a thing. I wanted her to ask Magic how he could be so stupid to be having so much unprotected sex, and also how he could be so ignorant about aids in general. For example after his diagnosis he spoke and it was clear he did not know the difference between hiv and having full blown aids. Then I wanted her to ask Magic's wife how she could have waited so many years for him(she was his high school sweetheart and waited for him about 14 years) for him and didn't she know he was f'n so many girls, etc. Now I know these are risque subjects, but she never even touched any of them or anything interesting at all. It was just as when Tom Cruise or any star is on, nothing more than fluff and oh how wonderful you are, etc. I watch a show to learn something I didn't know, which is something Oprah rarely provides. I do think some of the subjects are interesting, and I'm interested in the guests such as Magic, but I'm always disappointed with her interviews. To me she is successful because of the lack of education, intelligence and desire of the average American to look at life in a more challenging way--in other words people like mediocrity and for things to be easy or simple.
Having said all this, I do admire Oprah for her courage and openly admitting her personal struggles. I also felt she did a great acting job in the movie THE COLOR PURPLE. But her talk show is like top forty music, etc. I even make the analogy to the fact that society rewards movie stars, athletes, etc. with mind-boggling salaries, while teachers have starting salaries that are hard to live on. You can get rich in this country if you can sell something which entertains people or makes them forget what is hard in life.

What I learned from Ophra.

Looks really do matter. If you want a long term relationship with good sex than a good body and nice face is a neccesity.

Pornography makes the perfect substitute to a long term physical relationship.

If you eat to much you will get fat. Unless you are Ophra nobody out there gives a toss about fatty.

Size really matters.
