Does anybody have any ideas for a venue? The bars are too small and limiting plus I really don't care for them much. I was thinking about renting a hall or something but my Korean friends say there's nothing like that in Korea other than a wedding hall.

I once attended a gathering at a restaurant/bar in Dong Incheon.
The place has a second floor that we used for our group exclusively.
There is no extra charge.
You say you are open to areas close to Seoul, the Dong Incheon rapid train passes most stations so gets there pretty fast. |

I think that sounds like a good idea. Maybe for us newbies there can be a meeting place at a train station or something? I'm venturing into Seoul for the first time this weekend to see the Cherry blossoms...lol.

Don't know if any of you are in the "Seoul Circle" club on Facebook but it's basically a social group facilitated by this Dutch professor here where a nice mix of Koreans and ex-pats gets together and eats, drinks, networks. Anyway, he hosts it at Beer Plus just outside exit 8 of Gangnam station. There's room there for our tiny group many times over. |
