| Orser has denied the rumor about Asada. Why is it still coming up? No evidence at all. |
I believe it's coming up because Yuna and Asada trained at the same rink in Toronto. |

| Orser was left out of the loop all summer, including when Kim went off to Korea in July to do some shows |

| Its fine, but I wasnt consulted on that, either, said Orser. I sent numerous emails to both her agents and to Yu-na when they were in Korea in July and I didnt get one single response back from them |

| I was asking them whats going on and saying Im getting some media interest so I need to know what to say. There was literally not a single response, not one Heres what to say, or Well talk to you when we get back. I even emailed at the end of it: When are you coming back to Toronto? There was not even a response there. It was really kind of pathetic |
Sounds like a typical break up with a Korean girl. Or a Korean school.
Exploit the foreigner for all they can provide, then betray them in a cowardly fashion for the most superficial and dumbest of motives. Avoid the decency of honest communication, just let them figure it out on their own.
Then replace them with a blond haired female. |

Ever wonder maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with the fact that ESL teachers in Korea don't have any real skill sets and thus are very easy to replace? Said ESL teacher is going to get the same exploitative treatment in America, or any other country for that matter.
Sadly, the same can be said for Brian Orser. Don't get me wrong, I think he was the right coach for Yuna (and an amazing one at that!), but he wasn't anything special when it came to coaching before he took on Yuna. If anything, he was better known for his 2nd place finish to the other Brian, rather than his coaching acumen. After all, wasn't he involved with skating shows instead of competition before he decided to become Yuna's coach? |

| Nearly every Korean I've heard talking about this subject seems to think the Ajumma was behind the split. |

Nah, they fired Tracy Wilson the same time as Orser. |

It's funny to see how CEO Ajumma didn't think through the consequences of firing the coach. She doesn't seem to understand that when you terminate an employee, that former employee can do as he darn well pleases. |
Wow. That was a horribly wrtten article. |
It's August in Korea. Maybe the entire editorial staff had the day off.
Either that or it's just due to the fact that the Korea Times is a worthless rag. |

| Y'know...I think it all comes down to the ajumma. Simple as that. Also, I don't like Yuna's look. She just looks like a pampered, spoiled ice princess(which is what she essentially is). I much prefer Mao's look. She is cute. Yuna just looks like any other princess you would see walking down the street here. |

Before we delve further into this fascinating topic, I just have one important question:
Is itaewonguy mentally handicapped/retarded? Nearly every post you make is borderline mental retardation. Prove me wrong, kiddo! |

This is not always the case. It depends on the contract. Non-disclosure contracts can prevent a former employee from giving trade secrets to a competitor.
NOT saying that this applies to this case or Olympic skating in general...just saying. |
If there was a non-disclosure agreement, Ajumma would have been screaming about it already.
. |
I already pointed out that I was not saying it applied to this case. I was responding to your blanket statement about terminating an employee. |

Another part that made me laugh. It basically says Yuna is Orser's employer. True to a point, but what about Korea's supposed great respect for teachers? |
A public school teacher is different than a sports instructor. For example a TWD instructor is called Sabonim as opposed to Sonsangnim for a public school teacher. Besides which she is the employer as well so it's also different. And why is Yuna supposed to represent all of Korea's respect for teachers? |

Its basically a very unarticulate opinion piece.
| Quote: |
Worse still, Orser betrayed Kim by unveiling the world No. 1 figure skaters new long program on Thursday via the AFP. |
basically the thrust of it is that if little Yuna kim doesn't win any more medals in her life, its because orser unveiled her program before time. |

| Its freakin figure skating. Orser said the song name and said its a very good routine. Its not like its the NFL and he gave away plays and formations and now the other figure skaters will be able to set up their defenses accordingly. |

Yep, keep talking about things you have no clue about. What Brian Orser did (revealing the song name) is a big no-no in figure skating. It's sort of a unwritten rule. Even the choreographer questioned Orser's motive for revealing the song, obviously without Yuna's permission.
But no everything must be the Korean mother's fault and her "cash-cow-cum-daughter" (Greekfreak's eloquent words).
