How about all of us pool a few dollars each and buy Junior a one-way ticket to Gaza. If it is such a nice place, he should be able to live well there.

Sorry.. I could never live in an intolerant muslim society. no matter how awesome the shopping.

Flight to Jerusalem would be fine tho.

But it is growing 8% a year, as you said. It's better than Turkey. Korea is going to invest there.

Come on man, make your home there.

I guess thats the kind of useless aside you might make to distract from your appalling defeat on this thread. Sorry I overestimated you.

Ok..you can go now.

This article is pretty much off-topic (or not, depending on your definition):

Quote:
Saying No to $1 Billion
Why the impoverished Sioux Nation wont take federal money

Mario Gonzalez is Oglala Sioux and Mexican and walks like he was once a linebacker. A tribal lawyer for the Sioux, Gonzalez has devoted much of his career to the convoluted fight for the Black Hills of South Dakotaa fight that has already lasted a century. More than 30 years ago, the federal Indian Claims Commission awarded the Sioux what amounted to $102 million for the taking of the Black Hills. But the Sioux didnt want the money; they wanted their land back. So the money has lingered in trust accounts, accumulating interest. Today, in the name of some of the poorest people in the country, about $1 billion waits untouched in accounts at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

For what it's worth, I'll agree with Reginald that South Korea gets too much money from our broke asses. I guess one thing to consider though is that the US/South Korea relationship has had its unique advantages while managing not to piss off hundreds of millions.

I am happy that Gaza is experiencing some prosperity. I wish all those people well. I hope that this continues and they can find peace.

Yes, how the war is Iraq is 'over' in 2003. Good job Junior, you get a golf clap.

I don't need to do any research. Junior already got pwned by others.

No one said they're unhappy with Gaza's improvements.

On the whole, in the perception of most people- Mussulman =/= prosperity.

So people are a little incredulous.

If these reports are correct and the people are not starving and the country is developing a middle class, I am happy for them. They have suffered a lot. Land seizure, constant attacks from Israeli soldiers.

I want them to have independence. I know Israel the land thieves would never give back the land. The best case scenario is for Gaza and West Bank to become an independent country without Israeli 'assistance'.

But as regards Gaza, you have an ongoing and concerted effort by western media to portray the place as one big starving refugee camp regularly sprayed by Israeli bullets. Lies.

Look at the bustling markets.

And the fact there are more mercedes-benz per capita in Nablus than in Tel Aviv.

Have any of you been to Gaza? Or are you just arguing from whatever partisan base you're coming from? Remember, there is more propaganda reported by both sides of the fence here than just about anywhere in the world. So be skeptical about a few photos and a report.

I lived in Gaza 12 years ago and I certainly hope that what is written here is true, because at that time it WAS one big starving refugee camp with rather frequent military incursions.

A note about how facts can be played with. Almost all the taxis in the west bank and gaza were 40+ year old beaten up Mercedes. So if you count these, the most numerous vehicles, then YES there are more mercedes-benz than Tel Aviv. It's a BS statistic.

This quote alone (without photos of all those fancy cars!) makes me question the veracity of this report. But i really hope i am wrong.

Maybe one source of disagreement on this thread is that Junior perhaps is operating under the belief that the Earth is only 6,000 or whatever years old.

In any event, the Canaanites who he says turned themselves into Jews are in the unenviable position of having to assert their land-rights in the face of the fact that if humans have actually been around for much longer then such a claim would rightfully be regarded as total BS.

If you're gonna take it, just do it without dragging others into it. There's no need for Americans to spill blood over Holy Land crap and the propaganda I see insinuating that this might or should occur I find sickening.

Even if they're brand new cars it's a pretty meaningless statistic. I've never encountered the Mercedes Development Index.
