I've noticed Koreans shop like they drive.
They pay no attention were they are going. Swerve in and out of the aisles and cut you off. Suddenly abandon their cart and rush over to look at some item that has caught their attention. etc. etc. etc. |

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I hope the juice hurt, and the eggs broke. |
man I would have broke the eggs and poured the milk and juice out on the floor!! and then walked out!!!!
see how fast the manager would have come over to get my money!
ok thats what I would have loved to do!! and pissed enough I probably would!!
what I would have done is!! I would have threatend her to process my items while she said no! I would shouted YAAA!!!! 8282!!!!
you do it now!!!! then I would have made a scene!!! insulted her!!!
spoke really fast , loud and in her face!!!! until the manager KBOY arrived!
who would try to gesture me to another line!! then I would give him one chance to do the right thing! which is tell the clerk to open the counter and process his order!! of course he wont becuase he is korean and has no idea of logic and customer service!!!
so I would tell him off and call him a fucking idiot!! then through the bag on the counter all over the clerk and then say!! you guys are complete MORONS!! in korean so all ajumas and adojis can witness!!
do I care how they think of me?? NO!!!
from the first moment I knew I wouldnt be coming back anyway!!
so might as well make a comedy fest of it!! hahahahaha
I love losing it with koreans when they are stupid!!!
and funny thing is... they have no idea!! they are really that dumb!!
reminds me once well many times this happens but here is one..
I walked into a bakery the other day!!
new store in town.. poor highschool has no idea about nothing..
I ask her.. BBANG ODE ISOYO?
she replies.. over there.. and gestures towards donuts and cookies!!
I look over.. and say.., in korean.. this is bbang?
she looks at me like IM STUPID!!!
and say YES!!!
I kinda laugh cuz she thinks im stupid..
I ask her again.,.
bbang!!
you know peanut butter... JAM!!
she say OPPSAYO!!
IM LIKE HUH!!!
then she clicks..
OHHHHH TOAST BBANG!!
hahahahahaa |

Tossing your basket at the cashier only proved that you can lose control....well done.
A better course of action would have been to ask to see the manager....
The cashier should have notified the customers of course but it was the managers problem.
As for this "never" happening back home, I suggest you look harder next time you go home.
Finally, this thread generated a rather disturbing wave of racial slurs and demeaning comments concerning Koreans. It really had the bigots coming out of the woodwork.
A sad display. |

kiwiboy is smart enough to read things on his own. If you just say, "this last post made by itaewonguy cracked me up real good" (which happens to be terrible grammar), kiwiboy would understand your feelings. |

why this sudden flurry of sock flying? Has Kiwiboy been banned? Is that why people keep thinking everyone's him?
Are we even allowed to mention this stuff out loud?
I've been on this board for months and it still confuses me sometimes. |

I just made that comment to someone because that poster said that he was "a human being". |

osangrl,
No a question of having a dad...
Its a question of basic civics and of taking the problem to the proper person.
I understand your frustration. What happened to you is annoying but what you did solved nothing and got you nothing except perhaps some misplaced rightiousness.
Talking to manager would have been better (as you mentionned other people in the line were also angry).
The cashier did have a right to close her cash if it was the end of her shift, she just went the wrong way about it.
Was that worth resorting to violence? |

I read "most" of this thread and thought i'd weigh in a little.
I managed a "major" grocery chain in Canada for over 8 years before I moved to Korea. And have seen more than my share of line ups. I've seen some of the oddest things in my life happen in grocery stores and if nudged i'll share some of them
But on the issue of line ups.. it is WHOLELY THE RESPONSIBILTY OF MANAGEMENT AND THEIR SCHEDULING to provide sufficient service to the customer. We do not, nor will ever know all the details of this incident...
Was the cashier on overtime already?
Was that her regular work day?
Do they have a general policy for shutting down a till?
Do they have the ability to "flip into" a register? (that is are registers limited in their ability to record more than one cashier at different times.. don't laugh not all can do it)
What is their customer service policy?
Was there a personal problem involved?
Were they as busy as perceived? (to a customer busy is not the same as to a worker who "may" know the time it would take to put through the line up).
Reguardless I think it shows little tact to throw anyting at a worker because of poor service. If you don't like the service somewhere, leave (I do it all the time). But seriously.. if someone had done that to one of my employees, there'd be an assault charge coming.
Like I said, its the managements responsibility for their product.. who is responsible for your actions? |
