| Sarcastic, yes, I can see why you would think that... But snide and condescending? |

Now, I'm not going to pull a music snob thing and say you're less of a person for not drinking whiskey, but at least offer something worthwhile. That means Whiskey or 'gac, Chateau LeFancy '72, or a case of IPA. Not something I could get by falling out of my window and landing in between the CU and the chicken hof.

Or we can just meditate on the Han and contemplate lost ambitions from our past over a bottle of magkoli.

What's weak? Drinking magkoli? Or being on the Han (another aspect of living in Korea, which I miss {living in close proximity to the Han}).
There's always Cocky Mountain Tavern in the Twon. |

I think its more the meditating and contemplating lost ambition while drinking and this being with someone you just met.
Actually I think "weak" might be letting off such an idea lightly.

I don't know which part of that sentence gave me bigger douche chills. |

Korea isn't that bad, but it isn't that good either. There are certainly worse places in Asia to live, but there are far better places to visit. The people are like the food. Generally lacking variety and depth, but some are spicy, full of character, and eminently likeable.
Korea overall score: 6/10. Keep trying. Sort out the myopia, xenophobia and discard the Confucian millstone that is preventing Korea from truly succeeding, and it would be much better. The potential is there. |

That's very well stated. |

I lived in Korea for a few years and worked for a Korean company in America for a few years. Now there are no Koreans in my life and I have to say man, I miss Korea and Koreans. They are genuinely good people and Korea is genuinely a good place. I know, there are issues, but who doesn't have issues?
What I can't stand are people who take stabs and jabs at Korea just because it makes them feel more secure. All of the Koreans I personally know (I know a lot), as idiosyncratic as they may be, are good people. They work hard, they support their families in an honest fashion, and they are successful. I think the world could learn a lot from Koreans (and East Asian culture in general), and anyone who takes a stab at their reputation, just for the sake of self enlightenment, is jealous, IMHO. Hate on it. |
So, because you have an opinion, everyone has to agree with it?
Perfect logic for a teenager, pity you haven't moved on from being 13 years old. Wanker! |

| There is one more view to add to the Korea vs. somewhere else when you're single and Korea vs. somewhere else when you're raising a child view: Korea vs. somewhere else after the child has grown up. Now the child is grown up, young and single, and where would he prefer to be, and is he happy with what is grew up with and is now equipped with, or does he now wish he had grown up somewhere else? |

Both of these tools live in the middle east. Look at this foolishness, these two miserable, cut off kooks picking fights with each other on multiple forums and insulting each other like a couple of poons. All of the people who post on this stupid site from the middle east appear to be somewhat deranged. Robbie Davies is a confirmed lunatic but LPSAK of course has to dickfight him for his online burka hole. You smell the death? This is what happens over there, it drives people crazy. I remember looking at one of the middle east forums nearly three years ago for a peek and reading a conversation where two guys had been going at it for, I shit you not, around two years. Just the two of them, fighting over some trivial thing. Heed such places, brethren. There are plenty of big tittied Mexican women out there for all of us, c'mon. |

Careful, augustine. The last thing we need here are middle eastern apologists. |

Actually, I can very well picture two people in the Middle East arguing for years over some issue. Heck, that's just warming up over there. |

You're joking.
Saudi Arabia is actually pretty safe, unlike that festering hole, Mexico, where people get their heads cut off and their bodies thrown next to the highway, where the cartels go after people's families and kill them with chainsaws, I kid you not. EVERYONE I know from Mexico in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas, they tell me to avoid it like the plague. I have been to Mexico millions of times, it is a ****HOLE! You probably can't tell the difference between Syria and Saudi anyway so what's the point in engaging, Pendejo! |
