Cheem, You are not hypocritcal and you dont have to be ashamed for not being into fat girls. Why should you? Have u been sucked so far into North American PC beep that you believe the average American obese cellulite ridden monster is 'normal'?? Its not. They just eat too much and drive everywhere.... Normality is being able to see your feet when u stand up. Normality is not needing two seats on the bus. Normailty is not waddling. Normality is exercising at least once a week. Normality is eating fast food once in a blue moon. The North Americans on this board might disagree but then I could kick their asses, and I dont need to wear a mumu..

Bravo. Maybe for their own good fat people need to be humiliated and rejected? The PC garbage is making them think they are normal and that they should be accpeted as they are.

Wow, that's a relief.

Btw, those are strong words for a thin girl. Are you always this charming, or do you save the good stuff for the internet?

Why should cheem be shallow for having natural attraction to people that are attractive, rather than unhealthy, unattractive fat people? Do you go out of your way to date fat guys when their are plenty of other, better options out there?

I wish people wouldn't be so quick to throw the word "healthy" around. Yesterday, a trashy magazine in an Itaewon nail salon showed a before-and-after picture of Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez, in an apparent "Fab To Flab" transformation. However, the before pictures were perfectly normal, and nothing to be ashamed of. The after pictures were disturbingly skinny.

The medically acceptable definition of a healthy weight is much more flexible than the current ideal weight. In a society plagued by inadequate resources, plump becomes beautiful, because it signifies a comfortable life. I remember the Iranian parents of one of my boyfriends encouraging me to eat more ice cream, so I would look more appealing to the Iranian eye. In the gluttonous Western society, thin is in, because it sets one apart from the heavy-set McDonald's-scarfing lower class, who can't afford a gym pass, a personal trainer, or plastic surgery.

Men, you are welcome to lust after whomever you wish, and I will not quarrel with the figure you choose as your ideal. In most cases, you probably can't help who you're attracted to. I don't hold it against you.

I would ask, however, that you keep your disparaging and nasty comments to yourself with regards to women who don't live up to your standards. Beauty in the eye of the beholder, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, etc., etc. Healthy and beautiful are very subjective terms, and besides, I doubt that many of you know what it's like for a woman to successfully fight the battle of the bulge. Tolerance, respect, yada yada yada.

OH PLEASE!

Its extremely easy to lose weight when yo have motivation and drive. In my case, I was about 20-25kg bigger than I am now when I came to Korea. I decided to do something about it, dropped the weight and have been easily able to keep my new weight for 2 years now. The only thing it takes is exercise and a proper diet. THATS ALL! Anyone can do it if they really want. There is no battle of the bulge. If you truly decide to do it properly, its easy to do.

Yes, you are exactly right.

Wait till most of these beer swilling young guys get a bit older, and they get the big stomach. Think it won't happen? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Wait till the choice is either beers or a svelt waist. Yeah, a few escape that fate, but very few. I know a number of male teachers in their early thirties who will never see a waist line in the thirties again.

But, of course, we women are a much more tolerant lot.

Disparaging comments? What you mean is "shut 'yer mouth", right? How about I answer your corpulently obnoxious demand with a big fat NO.

Politically Correct types like you are constantly trying to censor the truth that people see with their very own eyes. I for one am sick of it.

I don't understand the thing about not being able to find clothes. Pretty much every is fat, yet they have clothes. I don't pay attention to their fashions, though, so is it a problem of not being able to find fashionable clothes for non-waifs?

Laughing Laughing Laughing Young people do not want to wear the same thing as their 50 year old mother or aunt, especially not when it is flowered, bright and has mismatched colours in the fabric! It isn't necessarily that everyone wants fasionable clothing, so much as clothing that isn't hideous, methinks.

Confessions of a former fattie.

Hello my name is CLG and I lost 20kilos over the last 2 years. I've still got about another 5 or so kilos to go.

I gained a whole bunch of weight at university. I knew I was getting bigger and tried to stop, but my lifestyle of long hours, working and studying just didn't allow me to go to the gym and the convience food I was eating didn't help my cause.

Once I arrived in Korea, the weight slowly came off with better eating and being to walk more places.

I'm the same person I was two years ago, the core of my personality hasn't changed. I don't think I'm a better person because of being a couple of dress sizes thinner. If I turn more guys heads because I'm thinner, I don't really care. I didn't lose weight to make myself more appealing to a guy. I did it for me. I wanted to be more healthy.

I don't see the need to insult people just because I don't find them attractive. There are beautiful people of all shapes, ages and sizes and everyone has the right to look their best, no matter what size they are.
If were were all attracted to the same sort of beautiful then the world would be a very boring place.

But I got news for everyone. In the end everyone's looks fade, if my guy is with me just because of my looks then it's not going to last. Gravity works. If Brad Pitt shows up at my door then I'd be lying to say I wouldn't want to lick the sweat off his thighs. However in the end I'm looking for more than someone to just play hide the hobbit with. I want someone who still love me for me when I'm pregnant, when I old, and when I look like I do now.
