| Just watch out. The "She's my girlfriend -->" shirts don't look so cute when you separate and end up sitting next to some random ajumma on the subway. |
Couples shirts = lame fashion for gay sheep. |

I think of couple outfits as sooooooooo middle American, if not somewhat trailer trash. Back home, I often saw couples in the airport wearing either a. matching bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts, or b. matching track suits, especially among the Boca Raton/ Ft. Lauderdale set (they always seemed to be chewing gum and sporting enormous shades, as well). I suppose they thought they looked cool, but that certainly wasn't my impression.
One word: tacky |

The couples I see wearing matching clothes all look so bored with life.
It's like their couple clothes are a way of announcing to the world that
every last drop of fun dissolved from the relationship.. At least it appears that way judging by their demeanour.. |

| You could wear ironic couple t-shirts that say "Ironic Couple T-shirt" on them. That may be slightly less emasculating. |
Whoa. I didn't realize. You mean the reason we don't like to dress the same as our SOs is because it makes our penises disappear?
(I know a lot of Korean guys who think that happens if they wander into the kitchen by mistake. Luckily, putting on clothes is less of an accident ... though I promise, that one time it happened with me the better half, it really WAS a case of nothing else clean at the moment.) |

| I've seen a lot of "couple sneakers" lately. Would it be less emasculating to match in a more subtle way? |
