First album I owned was a copy of ZZ Top - Eliminator that a high school buddy taped for me from an LP. The first album I remember buying?? HooDoo Gurus - Mars Needs Guitars...that was some great college rock back in the day! I still remember when they played a frat house on campus and I told all my friends about how great they were. Then I turned out to be the only one who was really into them the night of the band party. What a let-down.

That's a great album. I loved it back in my teenage days of weed and friend's finished basements.Smile

STYX:

PARADISE THEATRE

In the end I didn't really like the album, but the cover art was great!

I dated a girl who's CD collection was about 10 CDs, all of which were show tunes or other lame things. Apart from this album. And apparantely this album was the only one she liked because she kept it on repeat and played it again and again and again and again and again and again and again..

If only I hadn't been sharing a triple room I could have taken her back to my place.. but instead.. it was her place and this awful awful album non-stop. It tore us apart. That and the fact that despite my improvements to her paper for her "religions of star trek class"(really) she still got a C.

I feel like flying to the states and slapping that girl thanks to your post. Ugh.

Anyone else besides me wondering why you were to cheap to buy your girlfriend a new CD?

K-tel's Goofy Greats

First 'real' album was a gift from my older musical cousin,
either Elton John's Rock of the Westies or an old Chicago.
