Why do you have to fight back? Why not just ignore it? Does it injure you in some profound way?

Quite a keen sense of justice you have there: "he did it to me, and even though it shouldn't matter to me and does no harm to me, I've just gotta get my revenge!"

Why? Because its the internet and not the real world. You can fight back and not feel the repurcussions of a real fight. Oh and its fun.
Its ok to take the path of least resistance in the real world, but why should you do it in cyberspace?

Know this. When I think of my experience with women here, the word lonely doesnt enter into the picture. Try inundated and worn out. Hell, in a few cases I wish some Korean guy would have shamed the girl into not seeing me early on so I could have avoided the drama. I bet there is even a good chance I did your girlfriend before you got here.

Anyway, there's not much to discuss with you. You are upset because you believe Koreans don't recognize that there are bad people in their society. Unfortunately, you are unable to accept anything that's really outside of what you are firmly set on believing. The saddest part is your willingness to stay in a place where you don't feel accepted, and can't understand or appreciate the culture.

Your boasting is laughable to say the least, because you feel that my joke about your mom and cookies was an attack on your pride, and possibly your self worth. It's obvious that you haven't gotten where you would like to, or if you have, you had to lower your standards, because in most guys' experiences, there's always a better lady out there. Calling any women "inundated and worn out" seems to hint of repressed, antisocial, and possibly homosexual tendencies. Perhaps you wish guys had shamed you because you woke up next to something you found your own self ashamed of?

Anyhow, your joke about my girlfriend doesn't bother me at all. I know all about her, where she's been, what she does. She's not the type of girl that goes and sleeps around, but there are a lot of guys who would like her to. Usually they seem pretty lonely, and I've had a chance to watch some of them make attempts, and then sit and stare into space when they realize they don't have any chance. They go on to brag about exploits with their buddies, which is their way of fitting in with peers, quite natural actually, but unfortunate. Guys like that don't really get a chance to find out what they are really missing out on until they have an awakening, if that ever comes.

I wish you luck in finding your purpose, and finding a woman who makes you happy too. Perhaps your purpose will be to someday expose the Korean sex trade. Maybe it will be submitting articles to academic journals about your theories on Asian male sexual behavior. Perhaps it will be trying to separate your own work teaching children from the misconceived accusations and stigma of pedophilia out there. Go at it hero, make your mom proud, and get those cookies, be they chocolate chip or oatmeal rasin, or the peanut butter Hershey kiss cookies my mom always made at Christmas time.

A Because after the 25th, nobody wants them anymore.

Sorry. Crappy joke.

I would agree though that Korean men prefer younger women. That's not really a shock though as it is common around the world.
True. Most men all over the world date younger women. There are some exceptions, though, like the Korean guy I worked with who was 26 and his girlfriend was 31. That's rare anywhere, I think.

First, I hope you dont teach with reading comprehension as poor as yours. No where did I call Korean women inundated or worn out. I was referring to myself. I didnt say I wish Korean men shamed me, I wish they had shamed the girls. Honestly, do you teach?LEARN TO READ!

Who says I dont feel accepted? Criticizing Korean behavior= feelings of nonacceptance. No.
Who says im upset? Criticizing Korean bahavior= upset. No.
Criticizing Korean bahavior = not understanding or appreciating the culture. NO
I criticize my own culture a lot more than Korean culture. And yet I appreciate it and am accepted in it.
Who says Im single, dont have a woman, or am not married.

Thanks for your little aside about your girlfriend. It was cute. First love is always sweet. Hold on to that one champ.
I also enjoyed your commentary about guys and missing out on true love and awakenings and stuff. So profound. Are you sure you're a dude? Save that tripe for Dr. Phil.

The funniest part of this thread is your ability to completely psychoanalyze someone who posts criticisms of your girlfriend's culture on the internet. And that is what its about too: your GF's culture. You have to defend the first girl who gave you the time of day.

From my posting that "it is wrong for strangers to approach people in public and tell them not to date that person next to them", you were able to ascertain that I am angry, unfulfileld, lonely, havent gotten to where I want, and possibly homosexual. Wow. Thats some talent there.

I would like to see you and you GF out together someday. Then i can berate her for dating such a wanker like you. According to your beliefs, it would be perfectly acceptaable if i did that.

Has anyone seen or heard of a child porn site or child brothel in Korea?

Where are these children of the world that we are suppose to be trafficking?

All this talk about Korean men being more disposed genetically to pedophelia is a bunch of crap. Again, it's the worst form of racism. It sounds to me that someone doesn't like Korea very much and has an axe to grind.

Am I saying sex crimes in South Korea don't exist? No. Sex crimes exist everywhere.

But the biggest problem children face over there in regard to their safety is the traffic.

This has been argued on these boards before. As recently as a few years ago, South Korea was the 4th biggest producer of child pornography in the world. There are definitely some sickos here.

Perhaps I'm naive, but I don't believe that either. You guys throw a lot of stuff out, but I never see any evidence.

Who are you citing? Another hogwon teacher who hates South Korea?

Do you have a source for this? I'd try to find out for myself, but I'd rather not put in a search for 'South Korea child pornography' on my staff account.

I apologize. I made a mistake. Korea was the 3rd largest....not 4th.

This is from a thread on Dokdo that deviated (as usual) to an entirely different subject.

Quote:
I see Daechidongwagookin has changed his strategy and is now bashing the Japanese for child pornography. Child pornography is disgusting and vile, making victims of the most helpless members of our society. I am kind of curious if you are aware that Korea is the 4th biggest producer of child pornography in the world? 4% of the world's supply I believe.

Take a look at this article. Korea is right in there, just like Japan.

The rapid commercialisation of the internet has led to an explosion of child pornography, according to a UN conference being held in Bangkok.
Delegates were warned that child pornography on the net also led to more traditional forms of child abuse like prostitution and child trafficking.

John Carr, head of British Charity the National Children's Home, said 70% of convicted paedophiles were inspired to offend by viewing child porn on the internet.

As a specialist on how to tackle the problem, he was in Bangkok to warn nations in South East Asia that the internet threatens to increase their traditional problems of sex tourism and child trafficking.

Japan and South Korea have joined the US and Russia as the hosts of large numbers of child porn websites. With an increase in commercial opportunities from child abuse, criminal gangs have now become involved.
A website in eastern Europe that was recently shut down was found to be generating $2m a month from child porn.

That, says the UN, requires immediate global agreements to ensure that police forces are able to swiftly and efficiently take action against paedophiles, be they hardened criminals or simply domestic internet users.

More child pornography websites in Korea than in Japan. Number 3 in the world. Hmmmm...

I see 'hosting' not 'producing' - and it appears that the US is in the top 2.

More information for you:

Figures from the UK's Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) clearly illustrate the global nature of internet paedophilia. The IWF monitors the origins of all illegal child abuse images reported in the UK. The USA and Russia predominate in this roll call of shame. Criminals in these countries are the biggest suppliers of child pornography on the planet. Only two other countries are sufficiently large producers to warrant a specific mention. One is Brazil, the other is South Korea, each at 4%, compared with 55% and 23% respectively for the USA and Russia.

Child pornography is a worldwide problem and Korea is a big player. Sad

I mentioned it was a worldwide problem. I didn't say Korea was responsible for all of it but that it was a big player. Many countries have blood on their hands.
