Another funny comment. Anyone else notice when James called it an "immunization idol" lol..

james is alittle ssssssssslllllllllllooooooooooooow. he didnt pick up on his team obviously throwing the challenge until jeff flat out told him.

james is built like a mac fukkin truck. he must be digging graves the old fashion way. Somebody should tell him that tractors have been invented.

I also thought that Jaime might have swapped the non-idol for a real one. Why didn't she look in the pants to see if they were actually the same? She would've noticed the big thing on the back saying "this is an immunity idol" and known she didn't have one. I wonder if James would have checked and noticed the swap? I figure they wouldn't have shown it so they could build suspense.

Priceless look when Jeff threw it in the fire. Good episode overall.

I don't know all the fine detailed rules of Survivor. If Jaime had stolen the idol out of James' bag, I don't know if it's legal.

In next week's sneak peak, it shows Todd running around like a chicken with its head cut off telling people to get James to use the idols so they can vote him off in the future. Is he going to get others to throw the immunity challenges? Will people go for that? I think they reveal too much in the "Next Week's Episode" thing.

It looked to me that Todd will be trying to blindside James next week. The immunity idol has to be played before the votes are read out, I think. If they make James think he's safe, he won't play the idol, and they can vote him off. The benefits of that strategy are that, first, both hidden immunity idols are out of play (they're a huge x-factor that, given the inevitable twists and turns ahead, could come back to bite Todd in the @rse); and second, he gets rid of the biggest physical threat in individual immunity challenges. And afterwards, he still has the numbers to pick off the remnants of Jaime's old tribe.
The downside is everybody really likes James, he's a loyal ally, so if Todd snakes him, James' buddies won't have any qualms over returning the favour.
I'm pretty sure Todd has sealed his own doom. He's calling the shots, and everyone knows it. In survivor, that's a sure-fire way to make yourself a target.

Why don't we start a week-to-week predictions game? I'll go first for next week's episode:

Individual immunity: James (time for a physical challenge after last episode's memory game)
Voted off: Peih-Gee (it's either her or Erik, but unlike Erik, she has the potential to scheme her way out of things; there are serious cracks in the main alliance she'll exploit if they don't get rid of her ASAP)

Outplay. Outlast. Outwit. Those are the only three rules to Survivor... stealing falls under outwit.

Are the idols not re-hidden with new clues after they are used?

Not necessarily. For one, I know polotting to bribe votes or to split winnings with other people is against the rules, and will get you kicked off of the show.

There are rules. Just the viewers are not told all of them.

The last survivor Yau-Man gave Dreamz his truck in exchange for a promise for Dremas to give him his immunity idol in then next tribal council. Dreamz didn't follow through and Yau-Man was voted off. And one guy looked in Yau-Man's bag for the idol. Can't remember if he stole it though. I don't think so.

Maybe there is a rule for that, but I'm not sure. As far as bribes to split the money, how would anyone know? Maybe that's fair game. In past surviors they have stolen stuff, so...

Rupert comes to mind, stealing someone's shoes and stuff in episode 1... in an interview he said the shoes had a bottle of booze hidden in them.

Didn't see any shows before Pearl Islands, except for the first 2-3 eps of season 1, so don't know if there are other examples.

You are allowed to willingly give your immunity to another player. The idol was revealed from Yau Man's bag, but not stolen.

I guess you could get away with splitting the winnings, but there are cameras everywhere. It's easy to get caught.

Doesn't matter. She's out of your league. There's still one left who you'd at least have a fighting chance with:
