| 2 weeks is a long bloody time to wait. Too long I say. And, after that a long void. I still can't get into hockey. With the missed season and being in Korea so long, it's difficult to get going. Maybe next year. |

Aww, c'mon.
We took this into the playoffs. I'm not finished.
A lot of you've been playin' for pride.
Gimme the chance to tie.

You do know that by picking first, you've greatly reduced your chances of even tying. Of course, that depends on whether bignate is picking who he thinks will win or picking to avoid a tie. |

In the words of Billy Bob Thorton playing the great Morris Buttermaker "a tie is kinda like kissing your sister"
I never would have played for a tie in University, so to borrow an old football adage: "Let's go for two....."

Seattle 55
Still couldn't really decide. It's one of the few super bowls that I really have no idea. And, I'd like both to win, so there's no way I can choose based on emotion. I'm locked in 5th, but I'd still like to get the right pick. |

I'm jobless in Suwon at the moment, so am available for a morning Super Bowl Party..
I can host it, but my home isn't big. Only floor seating, but an awesome LCD TV. |

Can't hardly concentrate on anything else!! If I weren't so far away, I might take you up on that SB party Mole!
Ah, well... Any armPitt fans among us?? Well, don't get too comfy with that point spread. Seattle will cover and more.
Here's an interesting stat for you: Last six SB winners were all in the top four in Red Zone defense. Seattle is #2. armPitts? #11.
Go Seahawks!!! |

Any analysis?
1. Balance. Both teams have it, but I don't see Pitt shutting down sEattle's O. Too many weapons, Hass too good at dealing with pressure and making the right audibles, Seattle's O line , two guys (WR and TE) that are 6' 3" and 6' 7", Alexander, and the best blocking back in the league in Mack.
2. Pitt's O: more similar to Seattle than I'd like, but not as good an O line, not as deep a WR corps. The TE's are pretty equal, except for Steven's height. QBs are pretty equal in skill, but not in experience. (Will that make a difference? Probably not. Call that a draw.) Seattle won't need to stuff the box to stop the run: Steelers' run O is actually medicore, while Seattle's rund D has been stellar while NOT stuffing the box all year.
3. Seattle has only had their full D together during the playoffs, so their seasonal ranking is misleading. Their performance in the playoffs has been stellar.
4. Pitt's D will over-pursue and get beat across the middle and by Alexander's cutbacks.
5. Both Ds are fast. Don't see an edge for either in that regard.
6. Secondaries are the weak points of each team. Draw.
7. Seattle is the consumate TEAM team. There is no "I" in Seattle Seahawks, but there is in Pittsburgh Steelers. Seattle has no Porter who may pursue his own agenda or glory at times. Advantage Seattle.
8. The Bus? Thirteen years in the league? How about Mack strong, thirteen eyars in the league as one of the very best at his position year in and year out?? The Bus? Please. He's a great guy, been a very good player, bu it is only longevity that has him being called great. He has not been at the top at his position but for a couple a few years. Mack ahs been consistently one of the best FBs in the game for years.
Seattle in a close game, maybe a classic. 34 - 31. |

Definitely the makings for a classic. I just wonder what the 2 week layoff and media crap is going to do with the game. Both teams were playing awesome. We've seen some teams play like shite after 2 weeks off.
I had thot a similar score - 27-24. That makes 51 which was already taken. Thus the 55. I know that makes a lot of sense. It'll be a field goal either way. |
