Few slower ones. Inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson:

Nice. Reminded me of Breakestra's stuff.

I really like the Cymande track. I'm sure I've heard it sampled somewhere.

Nice. Keep it coming. You posted the Newman/Sugarbabes link twice, so I haven't heard The Diplomats of Sound track.

New track that I have on heavy rotation atm:
Track N Field - We Was So Close

And a slightly older track:
Physics - Leaving Monte Carlo

Ah right. I've got that. Downloaded it from Juno a couple of months back.

Here's a couple that you might go for:

Restless Soul - Turn Me Out
Chaz Jenkel - Get Myself Together

Not sure if you're familiar with Sweden's G.A.M.M. records, but I reckon you'd quite like a lot of their stuff. It's mostly re-edits of old funk and R&B stuff, but some of it is excellent. I bought a copy of this (I love track 9, but it's not available as a download) a while ago, but before I had chance to listen to it, some friend of a friend who lives up in Suwon borrowed it and I haven't seen it since!

I've got a few of their releases on 12" back home. This is the first I bought, which you may have heard:

Red Astaire - Follow Me

Love this as well. Think it's a re-working of an Erykah Badu number. It's top shelf regadless:

Red Astaire - Rolling Stone

Couple of jumps though I'm afraid.

I listened to Pharoah Sanders over 40 years ago, and he's apparently still going strong ...

This ensemble at a pub in Harlem does a very spirited version of the Pharoah Sanders/Leon Thomas classic, "The Creator Has a Master Plan"

(I'm not exactly sure what the topic of this thread is, but I decided to pick up on the jazz theme ...)

Sorry earthbound, I didn't realise you'd posted. I don't get notified when someone responds to a thread I've posted on.

Just on my way out, but I'll see if I can find an MP3 file of the Diplomats track.
