Oh crap. really? How come I wasn't informed of this? I can do whatever I want since its my country? Alright, watch out white people, I'm gonna be beating you into a pulp and stealing your money, and you won't be able to take any legal action. Its my fricking country, not yours. |

With regards to the title...there's some pretty ugly sentiments floating around in this thread.
And just because it is thinly disguised doesn't mean it is any more acceptable then the alleged overt racism of Koreans. |

Or maybe they do it for the same reason we do here on Dave's!!!!

Kudos to Daves, but what do "they" do as you say in "they do it"? I don't think "they" do much at all which is why the Human Rights Commission of Korea has asked them to quell hate/racist speech...
"On May 9,
http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/nation/2011/05/117_86701.html
the commission demanded law enforcement authorities and Internet regulators to introduce steps to remove racially discriminating comments and articles in cyberspace. It called on the Ministry of Justice and the Korea Internet Self-governance Organization to come up with countermeasures against discriminative language, which it says could hamper social integration."
Isn't there a difference between the individuals on Daves who don't represent anyone and the Korean government who does in fact represent people? |

Government policing or restricting what universally deemed detrimental such as "racist rant" is common practices all over the world. And yet, you selectively choose Korea and attack Koreans for "lack of any ability to think for themselves." It is common thread, I noticed, for you. You loudly claim that you hate "racism" in other post and yet, you seem to be strongly bias against Korean, even when they are trying to do the right thing. |
"Trying?" Reading what the Human Rights Commission says or suggests doesn't count in my book as "trying" anything. |

All kinds of people from all over the world "give up" on marriage either consciously or unconsciously, how are Korean farmers different? You must be young. |

Hongdae and Itaewon were the exact same the next day. And that was an OLD MAN. |
Yes, but the old DRUNK man wasn't really hurt. He didn't have any serious injuries. He was back drinking, getting drunk, and playing pool the next day. The two involved also apologized to each other.
There was recently a case where a taxi driver chased a female English teacher, broke into her residence/apartment building and was taught a lesson. He was on TV showing his injuries(past or present?). The television didn't even give the other side of the story. To suggest race has nothing to do with anything in court is naive. |

Seriously, can we drop the "media uproar" claim? We always here that if there is ever an incident there will be riots and it will be all over the papers. Instead we get page 9 blurbs and some netizen jaw-jaw.

Indeed. It wasn't that long ago that people used to complain about being protrayed as predators and would make stupid statements like "there would be race riots if a single Korean child was molested by a foreigner." However after I linked to several such cases and showed no such uproar or race riot occured those people went mostly quiet...although every now and then one pops up. |
How long will we have to wait for those "links" to "several" such cases of a "foreigner(native English teacher?) molesting a Korean child."
It sounds like you count a link as someone being guilty of molestation, if not I know you won't be able to show such "links." Nice try |

So you'd go into court on a personal injury claim without a lawyer and expect a favorable result?
| Quote: |

Not as naive as suggesting that having a lawyer has nothing to do with outcomes court.
I would submit that having a quality attorney is a far greater indicator of favorable outcomes in court than race, along with the connected indicators of wealth and connections.
The same reason you get a real lawyer and not a public defender/representing yourself back home if you are on trial is the same reason you do so here. |

Fixed. Search Dave's for more info. It's been widely suggested that the people running the site are kyopos who have never lived in or visited Korea. As a result, I'd take everything they ever have to say about Koreans, Korea, or foreigners in Korea with a great big dose of salt. |

They love me over there. They actually had a stickied thread dedicated to me saying how they were going to "get me" (now edited).
Keep in mind that very few (read: none) of the peters there actually reside in Korea. There's lots of racism there, to be sure, but the site admin is is Australia if I'm not mistaken. |

| I've been in Korea for 14 years and I've seen a lot of racism, but I've actually seen more racism on this web site than I've seen on the streets of Korea. However, racism exists in every single country in the world, and complaining about it; is kind of like complaining about the weather. It ain't gonna change a thing. It just makes people more racist. |

Nice Simpsons reference, but I think your version should say, "who puts Dokdo on the maps?" since the answer is "we (Koreans) do." or perhaps "who leaves Takeshima off the maps?" |
