then i did a picture of me laughing and i got some chinese lady. who's kelly hu?
there's another website that also says your ethnicity make-up, but i think that one's bunk too. |
Actually, could you post the photos that you ran through the thingy? Just so we can form more objective and accurate opinions, of course. |

He must be quite good-looking and ingenius for you to be so bitterly jealous of him.

Welcome to my blahg. Today's topic is beer. I like beer. You can buy beer in Korea. You can buy different kinds of beer in Korea. And do you know what? The different kinds have different tastes. Amazing, huh? There's a new beer in Korea. I really needed to tell you that. It's not as if you go to the supermarket or ever see advertisements. But back to the new beer. I tried it. I didn't like the taste. Maybe some other people will like it. But then again, maybe they won't. I don't know. Do you see how useful my site is? Please bookmark it and come back. I'll even tell you next week's topic: a famous actress. I'll post pictures and everything. It'll be fun. And informative. And don't you ever disrespect my blahg. I'll follow you to Dave's ESL cafe and call you a sock. I like to listen to rap, so I'm a gangsta. Yo. So don't mess wit' me. I'll bust a cap in yo' ass. Yo. And don't be deceived by my picture. I know that I look like I couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper bag. But that would be wrong. I listen to rap, so I'm tough. Yo.

In my teens/early twenties people would comment that I looked like Kate Bush (when she was still remembered as young and beautiful - and people still remembered her at all...). But I had a much bigger bust and and a pointier nose.
No-one has said I looked liked anyone else - until I came to Korea and was told I looked like Drew Barrymore! Quite a shock to myself and anyone who knows me!!!! |

I have it on good authority that Flotsam, yes Flotsam, that motherf-beep-er, is behind the KH article.
And I would expect nothing less from that c-beep-sucking, liberal-minded, a-beep-ole.
The next time I see him in Itaewon, I'm going to throw s-beep- in his eye, cut his p-beep-s off with a pair of rusty shears, and f-beep- his decapitated head until I c-beep- out the back of his skull.
And you can put that in print.

I'm sorry to have to repost that vulgarity, but I want you to know where I'm coming from.
I didn't say anything at the time, because, to paraphrase Sparkles himself, I don't point and yell everytime I see a turd.
And then there was the thread called something like: "Help me buy a gun so I can kill somebody." I really didn't like that. I complained about it, privately, to the moderators. It is the one and only time that I've ever complained to the mods about a thread or post.
And then he wrote other posters' Real-Life names. That is really not OK. You have to respect other posters' privacy, even if you're in a heated debate with them. You don't post people's pictures or their Real-Life names without their permission. You just don't do that. You are potenially compromising their safety if you do.
And for some reason, he's recently taken to following me around the board and taunting me for no reason that I can think of. Interesting, considering that not too long ago he was part of a group of people here denouncing cyber-stalking (as it should be).
OK, so maybe I over-reacted. But I don't like being harassed. And to be frank and blunt, Tiberious has struck me as a bit of a cyber-bully. You described my post above as bitter, and yet, Tiberius just had to respond, didn't he? He either didn't sense any bitterness, or didn't care. He just had to get that last word in.
I apologize about the thread hijacking, but hey, Tiberious started it. |

In other places I get told I look like Gillian Anderson (when I have red hair) when I have black hair I get told I look like my avatar.
In Korea, when my hair is red I get Cate Blanchette or Susan Sarrandon (and once Meg Ryan). With black hair I get Vivien Leigh.
The face recognition site thinks I look like a bunch of people I've never heard of: Leeane Tweeden, Luciana Salazar, Claire Forlani, Bridgit Moynahan and Delta Goodrem (well I have heard of her). Apparently, though, I don't look like any boys. |

And for the record, I mentioned the name Derrek 3 times in like the past week. Cyber-bully; that's rich.

Oh, I was aware of that first post. Tibs let me know what he was doing--he was making a, strongly-stated, point. The gun thread was just funny and a satire of another thread. Have no idea about the names, unless it was Derrek--that is his name, I met the guy. And cyber-bully? Well, considering past history on the board, that just seems to me an attempt to turn tables.
Sorry, dude. Maybe you don't know anything about those feuds and it's just a miscommunication between an offended defensive TB and an "offense is best defense" TIB, but it's all fishy. Or just not worth ever mentioning again. |

Red:
He could have made the point without the expletives. Other posters complained about the vulgarity. Tiberius responded with flippant remarks. He made it be known, after the fact, that you two are friends in Real Life. However, there was no way for the average reader at Dave's to know that. Basically, only you two were "in" on this joke. And the joke could have been made without the profanity or the references to extreme violence. It was not funny.
Green:
I beg to differ. I did not find it funny in the least. And as I already said above, if one is incapable of satire without references to violence or profanity, then that is indicative of a lack of eloquence.
Orange:
He posted the Real Life names of jaganath69 and somebody else (I forgot who). Jaganath complained about it, and he responded with flippant remarks. Do you see a pattern here?
Cyan:
OK, upon reflection, "cyber-bully" may not be an apt description. In fact, I recall taking an unprovoked, yet playful jab at him (this was after the first "Derrek" accusation, which came out of nowhere and took me by surprise). It was meant in jest, unlike, admittedly, my posts in this thread. With the continued taunts (three in a week is, in my humble opinion, a bit much), I got annoyed. I'd like to post in peace, thank you.
I don't really know about these feuds that you're referring to, and neither, I trust, do the vast majority of Dave's readers. That's stuff that maybe only the cool kids in the clique know about. So dragging a lot of profanity or implied violence onto people's computer screens because of something that they're not even aware of is not cool.
In retrospect, there was a whole "iceberg mass beneath the water" that neither you nor even Tiberius could have been aware of.
So my reaction was an over-reaction. I apologize. |
