Hey, Spliff thanks for trashing this thread with those nazi website links.

What are you kidding me.

Truth is that Kerry made a clumsy mistake.
He has made many of them going back 30 years.
All of his mistakes go to blame America first.

Say it like it is, our guys are over there doing the best they can.

If you are telling a joke about the President make it clear, and if you don't make it clear, clarify it with the proper apology. I think that's all that anyone asked for. If you look at the video you see the shock on the face of the Dem Congressman he was stumping for, that tells it all.

cbc

It tells nothing. Using your damned head tells something. Let me ask you one simple question: Why? What on earth would it possibly do to help him or the Democrats to insult the troops? When has he ever done it before?

The quote EVEN AS IT WAS, if you are being honest, is understood to be about Bush. NOTHING in the context, the syntax, NOTHING supports your bullshit view. Watch the WHOLE thing. What he was saing before, the transition he used, everything. You cn only call this an insult of the troops by being dishonest. I am sick and tired of slander and malicious bullshit being accepted by the American public.

Of all the SHIT you COULD be upset about, you choose this as importnt? A lie? Your lie?

Pull your head out.

I don't pretend to be clairvoyant and his excuse doesn't work on the saner among us either! Mrs. EFL trainer the joke is on you. You're an idiot if you buy into Kerry's lie that this was a botched joke. He said exactly what he meant to say and it's consistent with thing's he's been saying since the 70's. A Kerry quote from the 70's:

"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown." Shocked

I strongly suggest you pull YOUR head out of Flippers backside... Very Happy

Oddly, there seems to be quite a bit of disagreement over just how black, brown, and poor the military is.

http://www.rcnv.org/rcnv/archives/2003/militarydemographics.htm : Black! Brown! Poor!

http://www.heritage.org/Research/NationalSecurity/cda05-08.cfm : Not so much.

Give me something other than your drivel to support your contention. That quote? A supposition of what a volunteer army might look like in the future? So, guessing and perhaps being wrong is an insult? So, you are a liar AND can't think?

Here's reality: you have not read his pre-released speech. How do you jive that with your interpretation? You have not watched the video portions other than those cropped out of context. How dare you speak?

Come on dude. Kerry is suppose to be highly educated man. How can he slip like that unless he really feels that way about the military or he's really stupid man.

And are you highly educated? I am not the only person who sees how obvious it is that he was not addressing anyone but Bush with that remark. That is why I am being so hard on people on this issue. The spin on this is sickening.

There are people here claiming to be English teachers who show ZERO understanding of the use of the language. Is that partisanship, or incompetence? Again, there is NOTHING that supports the contention he was dissing troops. Nothing. Unless you choose to ignore the obvious or exploit what you know to be a lie for political reasons.

No quarter on this one. People are lying their asses off. Enough. We've got to stop the lying, stop the bullshit. There is serious shit coming our way. If we don't soon confront the dangers, we will all suffer for it. This kind of sick twisting of words to poison people's minds has got to stop.

The truth must have some relevance, some value, or we are all lost. It is as simple as that.

Fact of the matter is this is not the first time he has "inadvertantly" insulted the troops in Iraq.

Because I wore a sweater yesterday, I always wear sweaters. As for what an insult is, others may differ. I have seen people claim his honesty about things that happened in Vietnam as smears of soldiers. Idiotic. If that's what you are referring to....

And he did NOT insult the troops. Watch the video. You cannot come to any conclusion but that he was insulting Bush. Impossible if you actually watch more than the out-of-context bit most people are showing. Watch the comments BEFORE the carefully edited clip everyone is lying about and it is obvious people are spinning this.

If you wish to be dishonest, so be it. But expect to be called what you are, if so.

So what you're saying is that he didn't really mean it, but he is really a stupid man who doesn't know how to say what he wants to say. Slip, slip, slip, duhhhhhhhhh..... Laughing

What I'm saying is obvious: you being dishonest.

From BB's thread

Quote:
Friedman is not a fan of the GOP any more:

You have until Nov. 12th to read it (TimesSelect is free this week):

Insulting Our Troops, and Our Intelligence

A couple excerpts:

Quote:
Every time you hear Mr. Bush or Mr. Cheney lash out against Mr. Kerry, I hope you will say to yourself, They must think Im stupid. Because they surely do.

They think that they can get you to overlook all of the Bush teams real and deadly insults to the U.S. military over the past six years by hyping and exaggerating Mr. Kerrys mangled gibe at the president.

What could possibly be more injurious and insulting to the U.S. military than to send it into combat in Iraq without enough men to launch an invasion of a foreign country not by the Powell Doctrine of overwhelming force, but by the Rumsfeld Doctrine of just enough troops to lose? What could be a bigger insult than that?

The quotes were directly relevant to this thead: Friedman stating that Kerry was not insulting the troops.

And of course you are not partisan in the slightest either...

When someone as 'strongly' partisan as you are accuses other people of being partisan it kind of negates anything else he has to say, because people are too busy laughing at him. Just a heads-up.

Drop the hyperbole and maybe people on this forum will take seriously some of the things you have to say. Look at the threads you have recently started...you are really turning people off with these rants. This is not a flame BTW just an observation.
